ClarkGreaseball’s PS5 2k24 Fictional Draft Class!

This is my first draft class I’m going to be publishing on the server. In this thread, I will post 3 seperate parts : pre-season/mid-season, post season and a big board of the lottery picks. Once the final part is posted (the big board), I will put the roster download info on here. Let me know what you think, and if you any advice or future pointers, advice, tips, etc.
Thanks.

Parker Rasmussen (SR) C - Minnesota

This season is powered by the absolutely loaded Duke squad led by do-it-all sophomore and Pre-Season All American big man Rico Roundfield and senior point guard Henry Cross. Many experts are claiming it would take a massive collapse for Duke to not make it to National Championship and win it. Other contenders include the versatile UConn squad led by freshman standout Geno Gelabale who will certainly be battle tested come March after competing in a grueling Big East. SEC power Kentucky is also joined by very good teams in the uber athletic Auburn team, led by sophomore extraordinaires Donovan Rathan-Mayes and C.C Newley. Also included are the equally athletic LSU Tigers and their impressive junior SF Marcus Craig and the all around Alabama Crimson Tide carried by sharp shooting guard J.J Lopez.

The Big10 appears stacked as usual led by PF Kenny Konchar and SF Eric Hilliard’s Purdue squad followed closely by Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State. Ohio State boasts a top tier roster led by senior point guard Bronson Adams and (name). Michigan State features the super freshman and likely “one and done” forward Alton Kersey. Next tier Big10 teams that are trending in the right direction and could easily dethrone the top teams are Maryland and Minnesota, both led by potential NBA lottery picks, Maryland’s small forward Jamario Twyman and Minnesota big man Parker Rasmussen.

The Big12 and Pac 12 feature typical powers in Arizona, Kansas, Texas, Houston and Oregon all with Final Four hopes and even more. Amongst the aforementioned teams include a few players that could walk away with individual hardware at seasons end, such as the Naismith Award and they are Houston star forward Robert Clyburn, Kansas center Wallace Washington Jr and Villanova guard Lorenzen Kane.

As always, there are quite a few mid major programs that could slide on the slipper in March and really make a run. It goes without saying that powerhouse Gonzaga is always a team ready to compete for a natty and they are anchored by big man Demetre Ndour who has scouts abuzz. Others mid majors to keep an on this season include Indiana State led by Braxton Blades, Memphis and their athletic bruiser Norris Powers, the Perry Watts led Dayton Flyers and the Hawaii Warriors led by rising star Yuri Pargo- to name a few.

Internationally, there are a few players on NBA scouts minds hoping to find the next Jokic, Luka or Dirk. Kamil Uwawah is a name to keep an eye on, born in Uganda and raised in Congo, Uwawah is a do it all point forward despite his “unathletic” build.
Poland point guard Petur Karnowski is an absolute grinder who has been on NBA radars since he was 17 years old and could step in tomorrow and contribute on NBA rosters. Greek point guard, Leftos Balidis has been lighting the Euroleague up the last two seasons being an all star in both of his full seasons with Olympiacos. Serbian forward Mladen Tomasevic finished 3rd in the EuroLeague MVP race last season as just an 18 year old, while Ira Kalaitzkas from Montenegro won the EuroLeague championship with FC Barcelona.

[[[[[[[[[[[ Mid-Season Top 25 ]]]]]]]]]]]

1- Duke (16-0)
2- Auburn (14-1)
3- Virginia Tech (12-2)
4- Kentucky (14-2)
5- Purdue (13-3)
6- Ohio State (13-1)
7- Gonzaga (14-2)
8- Kansas (13-4)
9- Maryland (13-1)
10- Creighton (12-3)
11- UConn (13-4)
12- Hawaii (14-0)
13- LSU (12-4)
14- Villanova (13-5)
15- Arizona (12-4)
16- USC (13-3)
17- Wake Forest (11-4)
18- Nebraska (12-3)
19- Oklahoma St (11-5)
20- North Carolina (10-5)
21- Cincinnati (12-4)
22- Houston (11-4)
23- Boise State (14-2)
24- Texas (9-5)
25- Baylor (12-4)

As predicted, Duke seems to be well on their way to yet another conference title and #1 seed in the tournament. Auburn continues to play out of this world in the SEC with their lone loss coming against fellow top 25 team LSU. Virginia Tech has impressed everyone this season, a veteran group has suffered just two losses and both against great teams- Duke and Texas. Hawaii is the only other unbeaten program besides Duke and although their schedule has been relatively easy, they do have two wins against power conference members, Texas Tech and Washington St. Mid major Presbyterian, who has been giving teams fits all season took Hawaii to 2OT’s before finally getting put away.
Teams on the rise:
Ohio State - only loss to Maryland
Maryland - only loss to Purdue
Wake Forest - defeated UNC and Maryland
Baylor - undefeated at home
Navy - upset Syracuse @ Syracuse and upset Pitt @ Pitt
UW Green Bay - dominated Wisconsin in Madison 76 - 60

<><><><><>post season roundup<><><><><>

The Elite 8 kicked off with Nolan O’Quinn and his Cornhuskers as they were pushed to the absolute limit by a surprising, veteran Navy squad. Navy senior power forward Darwin Frederick might have forced his name onto some NBA draft boards with his relentless style of brute strength rebounding and interior game. Although considered undersized, he makes up for it in strength and his long arms. NFL teams have even been contacting him with interest in converting him to a tight end. You can never have enough spot up dead eye 3 point shooters and that’s why scouts have also been keeping an eye on Fredericks front court mate Erik Layman. With eyes on both players, the United States Navy has said they would suspend their service time so they could play in the NBA if they make a team. All that being said, Nebraska defeated Navy 68-64 in the Elite 8 with Nebraska freshman point guard Jonah Keefe and his 27 points.
In the West bracket, Hawaii continued to silence their critics and upset the very dangerous, high scoring and young North Carolina Tarheels 80-76 to reach their first ever Final Four. Yuri Pargo once again was a force to be reckoned with dropping 33 points and was matched by UNC combo guard Javin Profit and his 30 points.

On the other side of the bracket, powerhouse Duke yanked the slipper off of the Charlotte 49ers 79-63. That lopsided victory ended the incredible run of the 49ers and their crafty, sharpshooting point guard, Maxwell Price (yes, the nephew of NBA great Mark) who has averaged 28 points a game in the tournament. Henry Cross, the Duke senior point guard tossed in 19 and added 14 assists while soon to be NBA Top 5 pick, Rico Roundfield added 24 and 12 rebounds.

What some considered the best Elite 8 matchup , the UConn Huskies battled the Auburn Tigers to a 2OT thriller. Auburn advanced on a buzzer beater from Grey Manning to win 94-92. Donovan Rathan-Mayes did what he does and scored 34 points along with 10 rebounds and 9 assists. C.C Newley added 23 and 10 while UConn forward D’Angelo Likhodey put in 20 points and UConn super freshman point guard Geno Gelabale put in 29 points and 15 assists.

The Final Four started with a massive matchup of Duke taking on Auburn. A back and forth game was eventually won by Auburn 74-68 as their athleticism seemed to wear Duke out. Moochie Vincent and his 325 pound frame came off the bench with 14 points and consistently wore Duke star Rico Roundfield out with his size and strength. Duke point guard Henry Cross willed his was to 21 points and 11 assists but ultimately was outpaced by freak athlete Dononvan Rathan-Mayes and his consistent 26 points. The experts all picked Duke to win the national championship in the pre season and with Roundfield surely declaring for the NBA draft, as well as Henry Cross and key contributor forward Trenton Potapenko graduating, they’re going to need a quick rebuild in a tough ACC.

In the other Final Four matchup, Hawaii defeated the other “Cinderella” Nebraska 82-80 in OT. Hawaii’s Yuri Pargo dominated the game scoring 35 points and was aided with 22 points and 10 rebounds by guard Ansu Diakite. Nebraska didn’t go quietly as forward Nolan O’Quinn burst into the national spotlight the last 2 months of the season and he dropped 34 points and added 12 rebounds in a losing effort. Nolan O’Quinn’s incredible recent play may have played his way into the NBA lottery.

Auburn for the first time in school history secured the National Championship after outlasting an excellent and surprising Hawaii team 78-68. The tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award was given to Auburn small forward Donovan Rathan-Mayes for averaging 29 ppg, 7 rpg and 8 apg. Hawaii made an incredible run in the tourney after being given a 2 seed albeit having a 30-1 record. Auburn reserve big man Moochie “Mooch” Vincent was an absolute load inside pulling down 13 rebounds and adding 14 points. Starter C.C Newley finished with just 8 points and was held in check by Yuri Pargo who some were questioning his defense. It seems as if both Hawaii stars , Pargo and Diakite are going to declare for the NBA draft with Pargo really drawing some likely top 5 interests. Auburn’s DMR will more than likely declare as well with massive NBA draft buzz surrounding him. Star center C.C Newley has already mentioned he would not leave school until he graduates with his degree and reserve sophomore big man, Moochie Vincent is undecided as he would get an opportunity to start next season if he stays.

<><><><>other end of season notes<><><><>

Houston sophomore forward Robert Clyburn had declared for the NBA draft and signed with an agent. Houston had a good season finishing 22-10 but an early tournament exit at the hands of MAC champion Ball State and their MAC Player of the Year, 2 guard Ferdinand De La Cruz.

Purdue surely expected to advance further than the Sweet 16 and will be losing a lot of talent in All American forward Kenny Konchar, Eric Hilliard and Ayrton Ceballos.

A small school that gave teams fits all year long was Presbyterian with their 26-4 season. Their first round upset of BYU was orchestrated by Big South Player of the Year Everette Debusshere and Jericho Trybanski who both began getting scouted mid season after their upset of then #23 San Diego State and their MWC player of the year Timmy Burton.

Kentucky will be unloading future NBA players power forward Dusty Webber and All American center Ekepe Lawal after a disappointing tournament; although surely Coach Cal will have his next batch of freshman ready to go for next season.

Virginia Tech had on of their best seasons on program history and are only going to be losing forward Stanley Archibald who declared for the draft. All ACC player Ellis Scheffler has committed to staying “at least one more year” in Blacksburg. Va Tech expects to be loaded next season.

Hey thanks! I get some downtime at work and that’s usually when I knock out the write ups. I hope to have the big board and draft class download info put up by the end of this week

Not that there seems to be much interest, I finished the Big Board and published the draft class.

PS5: 2024 GRIMMCSLAM DC
Or just search “GrimMcSlam” as that’s my PSN handle and the only thing I’ve posted on 2K.

Furthermore, the Big Board

Comments, advice or what I’d really like to read are some of the players you’re really intrigued by and eventually who you drafted and why and if they panned out for you.
And maybe I’ll do another one for 2k25

Thanks!

Re: ClarkGreaseball’s PS5 2k24 Fictional Draft Class!

I am going to check it out this weekend.

Remember that many people here visit but very few are members so the feedback won't be much. Don't be discouraged by that. Most quietly download and enjoy the various fictional classes.

I dig the write ups.

You put together some great write-ups to familiarize people with this class, and they were all awesome. The only piece of advice I would offer is don't allow the restriction of the names the game pronounces to back you into a corner. If you want to get wild, funky, or really creative with the names, you should. People can always assign generic nicknames to the players late if necessary.

This is going to be a great year though. With your classes and so many others, we are going to be eating really good!! Great work
