MyNBA: Nearly Entire League Losing Money 3 seasons in

So in my modern day MyNBA mode with 3 expansion teams I'm noticing a small issue regarding revenue. It's 2025 currently and the only teams that had positive margins in the entire league was the Knicks, Nets, and Heat. Even the Lakers had a -4% margin ($999k in luxury tax costs).

Is this normal? Should the entire league be in the negative. The Utah Jazz were under the salary cap and lost $41 million with their terrible team.

Is there something I should look into to get the league profittable? This is next gen Xbox Series X. The expansion cities are Seattle, St. Louis, and Las Vegas.

I’m in the 99-00 season and every team is 2.1 billion dollars in the negative. But that’s because I have the salary cap off.

Select all teams, turn pricing on (if it isn't already), and crank those ticket prices. They are WAY undervalued by default. You can raise them 150-175 dollars higher with them still listed as "good value"....and that will fix most teams being in the negative.

Question on this. If I do this. Will the ticket prices stay high after I unselect the teams? I don't want to do full user control.

Yes, they should, in my experience. At absolute worst, you might have to change it once every season at the start of the year, but I'm pretty sure it holds.

Just looked at the ticket prices for all teams…80k a ticket. No wonder there is hardly anyone at the games. Won’t let me adjust it up or down either.

How much does profitability matter for the AI anyways?

It's just an immersion thing for me. Like when a small market team that misses the playoffs has a $100million dollar luxury tax bill, it throws me off.
