Cuts should have an affect, which means lowering how often they happen. And the 1-2 spam is dumb lol, combo multiplier should be lowered or removed, and only affect the initial area. Punching my head isnt going to make the head shot land harder
Distance control vs. head movement is a tricky one to rank.

I'd probably say Distance Control > Head Movement.

Maybe...

In real world mma, distance>head movement>parry>block

One of the reasons dudes like Jones are so good is distance control, him and many other fighters don't bob and weave much. Lots of the head movement I see in mma isn't as exaggerated as it is in the game.

more accurate imo would be
distance control>head movement>parry>slip strikes>block

Since we're trying to make a realistic game (stop laughing), I think distance management will be the primary line of defense, and play a much bigger role than in UFC 2. But there could always be gameplay issues that interfere with that desire.

Won't know for sure until the game is done.

Please add the ability to push someone. This helped with people who liked to always pressure. We need a way to create distance without having to strike. I like being able to shoot, and do it that way, but it will sometimes try the full takedown. Not as fluid as I would like it.

The clinch denial animation is perfect for this.

That's utterly terrifying to me because distance control is exactly what the AI is worst at and why it is so easy to beat on the hardest difficulties.

I was definitely laughing lol, but in all honesty one of the biggest issues is that you guys are putting way to much emphasis on the parrying. Parrying is not a fighters first line of defense like this game would make it seem, its not that easy to execute and it should be risk/reward. It also shouldn't "freeze" the opponent...just leave him unable to put his guard up right away. Like you guys were talking about, the first lines of defense irl is movement (or distance control) and head movement.

Yh this would be good to have. I liked to use this in UD3 against ppl who liked to pressure and walk right up to you holding block.
