The only way I watch this is if they use actual real NBA players on their actual teams, who players get to select and go head to head against other teams in a 5 on 5 human matchup. So if I'm the raptors I get to select if I want to be Kyle Lowry or Demar Derozen same included for other players and I have to play with that single player for the whole season. I'm hoping that's what there talking about or else it will be a waste of time and no one would watch.

I meant to say each team should have 5 human players going against other 5 human player teams and they split the winnings in the tournament that would be dope.

One thing is for sure though - as you say - if they embarass the league they will look terrible. So the pressure is on. And that's what 2k needs - they don't have competition (Nba live etc) - they need pressure. Hopefully this results in something great for us. Both in game aspects, and hey - i personally would watch some games if the league turns out to be entertaining.
Hopefully, they won't buckle underneath the pressure. That's a lot in my opinion. It's one thing to develop a game, and Big Brother NBA is not watching you. To develop a good game while Big Brother is watching AND got money invested?

Man, I don't envy the dev team.

So...how many people do you think are going to change their mind about preordering NBA 2K18, lol?

I guess my dream of ejections and technicals wont happen now that NBA is in partnership with 2k.

IMO, some people might have a skewed perspective of what kind of things would "embarrass the league"

I may be wrong, but I don't think the league is going to care about stuff like OP screens and dribble moves making people fall, or players habitually hitting shots from 40 feet. I think they expect "video game" stuff to happen in a video game, and won't see any of these gameplay shortcomings as any kind of negative reflection on the NBA.

Stuff like people saying inappropriate stuff on the mic or having vulgar gamertags are the kind of things that they will worry the most about, IMO.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yeah, I think the only thing 2k will have to offer over real life NBA is that people will do crazy stuff. I'm looking forward to all the crazy things eSport 2k gamers will be able to do.

I'm not sure it will get great ratings, but I don't think that's the point. I think the point is to get 2k more customers (people that want to get in on it, but really have no chance) and to get the NBA more fans (maybe more gamers will pay attention to the NBA now or you just re-enforce the base).

This is great for the 150 people that get in, but I want to know if 2k18 will have more features (custom pro-am leagues) for the rest of the players that don't make it in?

Or can we get an Exhibition League that lets thousand of people join 1 of the 30 teams, always be matched with our teammates, and compete in the same way the 3 parks compete?
