How can that be hard for anyone to understand?

I doubt it took much effort to do this and I doubt it took away them working on fixing issues. There's more than 1 person that works at 2k.

I don't understand the reaction. IT COST NO MONEY.

Your answer is in my quote. I'm not sure how to be any more clear. I'll try again.

It's my opinion that they should focus on already existing issues instead of spending time on other ways to implement any new features.

I understand your point in saying it costs no money, however to think that they are doing this without a monetization model in play is naive.

Honestly, this is a very cool, innovative addition in a genre that really isn't that innovative anymore. Personally, I don't play MyPlayer at all, but do wear my fitbit while playing basketball 3-4 times a week. It's just nice to see a video game company giving their players an extra incentive to workout and stay in shape.

So you can't just use Fitbit off your phone?

Downloaded the app it seems like the phone will track your steps. Sucks if you only can use it w/ a Fitbit device.

This is insulting. Another cash grab.

Do you honestly think they devoted time to this project for free? What about the inevitable time they'll spend in the future on maintenance? It's 2016. How can you possibly think they aren't trying to make money? If it's not making money, it's costing them money. Guess what businesses avoid almost exclusively when possible...I'll give a hint. It rhymes with losing money.
And then you said:

So - this is about 2K making money. Clearly. I know I am pretty simple but I can figure that out at least. What a dumby like me fails to understand is why are you so negative when the money 2K stands to make will NOT COME FROM THE CONSUMER? If Fitbit pays 2K $$ for this promotion - how does that take away from the consumer (us)? How does that translate into you not getting the game you want? Or do you believe the time they spent implementing this promotion specifically took away from perfecting the fast break gameplay?

Bro - you can like or dislike the game - absolutely your right. I mean no disrespect.

If or When this Fitbit thing becomes a required feature that cost the consumer money - I will stand in line with you with the pitchforks at 2K headquarters. Until then... lets have fair criticism - not blanket statements. It's a free feature. Let's just enjoy.
