Coaching carousel was an obvious add........as was upgraded draft presentation and features. But, no dice.

VinnyVegas,

If we were able to get an optional realistic progressions system, I would be right there with ya. Then I could get really into CFM.

This isn't going out to anyone in particular, but a mod yesterday asked in another thread to cease the going back and forth on CFM and people's perceptions one way or the other.

I'm assuming it's go at your own risk beyond that point.

Great question, here are some real facts ( not my perception, lets be clear here) about this statement, "what else do i expect" . My expectation is based only on two things here, saying there was this major focus, more than ever before, and what was done in 25 ( a year when they said it was shortest dev cycle due to making game for ps3 and 4 and xbox 360 and 1) and what was done in 15 ( when they didnt claim cfm was a focus). All this info was taken directly from the blogs of each year at launch.

Madden 25 ( Shortest dev cycle):

1.Import NCAA Draft Classes
2.Offline 32 team control
3.Offline ability to start a fantasy draft league
4.Refined User Interface
5.Ability to Change Player Position
6.Added more Legends to Legends roster
7.More sports media personalities added ( to social media stuff)
8.Added Commentary to talk about league standings, stats, last week, etc.
9.Branching Draft Storylines
10.Owner Mode
11. Hire Staff
12.Respond to Media
13.Set Ticket and Concession Prices
14.Manage Stadiums
15.Build New Stadium
16.Relocate
17.Revamped Trade Screen
18.Returned Logic for Draft,Trades, and FA
19.League Transaction Log

Madden 15 :

1. Game Prep
2.Confidence System
3. FA Redesign
4. Random Draft Classes
5.Random Branching Draft Storylines
6.In Game Overall Ratings
7.Redesigned Relocation Uniforms
8.Redesigned Buying Package System Screen
9.Owner Mode Financal Model Changes
10.Sim To Feature
11.Progression/Regression Recap
12.Resigned Weekly Goals
13.Added Ability to assign additional Commissioners
14.Auto Pilot Control
15.Relocation Tuning
16.injured Reserves Changes
17.Hire/Fire Staff During Season
18.Pro Bowl Update
19.Sim Engine Changes

Madden 16 ( CFM Got more resources than ever):

1.Start Playing Faster
2.Dynamic Drive Goals
3.Post Play Feedback
4.Ticker for Goals
5.Weekly Goals Redone
6.Goal Loading Screen
7.Broadcast Interface to celebrate goals completed
8.Redesigned Menu to consolidate more things in one area under "Things to do"
9.Visual Depth Chart
10.Player Card
11.New Scouting
12. Combine Stats
13. Draft Feedback
14.Members List
15.Sim-a-Win
16.Free Practice
17.Confidence Tuning
18.Owner Mode Finance Tuning
19.Watch list

Madden 17:

1.Play the Moment
2.Simulation Speed
3.Super Sim Engine Tweak
4.Gameplanning
5. In game boosts due to Gameplanning
6.Player Focus( for Xp)
7.Big Decisions
8.Commentary on choices made in Big Decision
9. Ticker
10.Full Player Editing
11.Practice Squad
12.Dynamic Dev Trait
13.Regression Feedback (Redesigned screen)
14.Player Card Improvements
15. Redesigned FA Bidding screen
16. Redesigned Menu Layout for Coaches looking to cut players
17.Redesigned Spending XP Page
18.Acquisitions Menu
19.Redesigned Resigning Menu

I didnt make these turn out the same number of things, i copied them from their blogs. Now the point is ,the year they claimed madden had its shortest dev cycle , due to making the game for the new gen as well as old, had the same amount of things added then as it did the last two years when CFM got more resources than ever, and is a focus. Why shouldn't i and others expect to see more? If your not bringing more, then just be honest about it, then people tend to be less let down. Its that simple.Had they said they are adding as much as they have on average the past 4 years, ok , id know what to expect then.I dont think thats unreasonable nor negative .

We definitely still need more depth in the mode. Finally having a Practice Squad is HUGE for me, but I would love to have more immersive features in CFM. I'm one of many that likely just played NBA2K16 for free this month from PSN, and would LOVE to see a draft presentation and other draft features like that in Madden.

I always hoped they could just show randomly generated college highlights during the draft after big draft picks or something one day (or saved highlights when NCAA was around )

What is your list of features that you would want in franchise? I would like to see: (not in order)
1. True Espn integration with highlights of other games during my game breaks, a halftime show and post game show similiar to what we see on NFL network. Weekly wrap up show
2. Formation subs
3. Best on best matches
4. Custom and shareable draft class
5. Playable pro bowl
6. Better progression/regression system
7. Watchable draft combine for certain skills
8. Playable college all star game to truly scout incoming rookies..we used to have this
9. Head coach injury system
10. Team and logo creator like 2k
Just to name a few.

Yes however on top of adding news stuff, every year they have to continue to tune and fix the old stuff as well. It's an ever increasing workload every year by default.

I also have faith in this team. Last year post launch support was amazing. We made it all the way to 8 updates with the last coming in May (May!!) when EA used to basically stop in January.

because they probably want people to continue to pour money into MUT - Madden franchise always gets the short end every year
