Lindor without a douct should be an A i dont know how people disagree with this logic. He is a gold glove caliber defender with speed and ability to steal bases and is hitting tremendous, these type of players dont come around often

Everyone who agrees please change Lindor to anything above 90 you want in your roster - if you disagree and agree with scouts and experts please let him be.

For sake of argument I ran a sim and Lindor ended up 92 potential after season 1

How it should be, imo. Let him continue to earn that A through progression.

People are reading wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much into his MLB batting stats so far at this early juncture in his career. Lindor is simply not a .320 hitter at the MLB level, sorry (he never hit higher than .289 in the minor leagues above high A ball). Not close. He's posted a .350 BABIP (!) in the bigs, and he hits with neither the authority (4 homers, just .110 ISO this year) nor has the blazing speed to be a BABIP outlier. ZiPS has him at .282 ROS, Steamer at .277 ROS. We try not to over-correct for small samples, which is what relying on the projections is good for guarding against.

When Lindor finds his true level as perhaps a .280/.330/.400 hitter with 10 HR/15 SB and slick to Gold Glove defense, an 88 POT will look just fine. I mentioned this earlier in the thread and I'll say this again, but offensive players that don't hit for power should almost never be considered as an A (HOF level player).

But, there's really no reason to keep dragging this up. Nitpicking ratings on this guy here and that guy there doesn't get you anywhere. Even if you think you've made your point, we're not changing him. You can do what you want with your copy.

We don't suggest any specific set. Just try some sets out and find what you like best.

Just for future reference I wouldn't use ZiPS for anything, lol.
