So the faster they get to work on making players unique in their animations the better. We need this for the future of Madden.
Take signature animations out of it, the general player movement is still very bad in Madden. Check out the bad player movement in this Moody video. I think having true step for all players on the field would help improve some of these issues.

I'm confident there will be some equipment upgrades. Wonder how much they'll show in the trailer tonight.

All I am saying it all combines together to make a great game one isn't more important then the other. The only reason things like this always come up is because Madden isn't really exceeding in any of these categories to most of our liking, so if one thing such as equipment gets a little attention then people assume the gameplay mechanics will take a hit, but that's not necessarily true.

I think what some people may be talking about, and one poster touched on this, is company's typically have a budget and a limited amount of resources. Sometimes resources are spent in one area more than the other. So if Maddens focus this year is A B and C, X Y and Z might see limited growth. I'm not saying it has to be this way or taking one side over the other. I'm just saying this is something to keep in mind. Also not directing my post at you, probably shouldn't have even quoted you lol.

Franchise needs a ton of work, but even if it is lip service, good to see they understand how bad it is. It will take more than one development cycle to get it where it needs to be, however. I'd like to see a commitment to the mode, though, rather than a one-time "yay improvements" then they go back to focusing on ultimate team the next year.

I played 16 a lot more than any other Madden in recent history but the CFM issues really brought my enjoyment down. Also having to do a 32 team CFM wasn't fun either since the only way a trade would happen is if I did it myself. I'm interested to see the trailer since the devs are hinting at more equipment.

Yes they do, Rex said he's after "poetry in motion" he's well aware of the animation quality deficiencies

Just a thought, but what if they used 16 cycle investing in franchise and 17 implementing it?

Fix injuries away from the ball, and a more realistic amount of injuries in this "new franchise mode" or I won't even be touching this.
