As far as stats are concerned, thats 99% of what I care about as well. Use the stats during the broadcast of the games. Put them up before at bats. Talk about the league leaders. Show how a guy has been doing lately.

We know that the game already has those abilities, because those kinds of things will show up from time to time. What I don't understand is why they seem to trigger so infrequently. While its cool to see something that I never have before, its also confusing as to why something will only pop up once in a blue moon.

Looking forward to the stream even if Franchise is not where I spend my time in the game. I hope they have added lots of cool features for everyone.

Can you explain how it works? I read over the description in the link and was very confused.

Does this suggest why the pitch counts are way too high?

100% agree!!!!!

We need a lot more in game stat overlays with the commentary talking about it.

And a much better extended Box Score too would be nice!

Re: MLB The Show 16 Video - Franchise Mode

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but the menus and interfaces look really well done this year. The calendar, for example, is really streamlined, and I like it a lot.

Budgetary information is also presented in a much more interesting way this year, I think. There are definitely a lot of nice little touches to draw you into the nuances a little more. This is going to be a fun year for Franchise Mode.

So pumped.

As I understand it, your pitcher may actually throw about 80 pitches. QC (if added to the pitch count) will account for another 100+ so the game reduces that number by 1 per batter to give a realistic total in the box score of around 145 even though the 80 you threw and the 100 that were simmed total 180.

Basically, if the average game has 145 pitches you will only need about 80 but 100 will have to be simmed to get you realistic BB and K numbers but that total is adjusted down to get you back near 145 in the box score.

I hope that makes sense.
