I am surprised that 2K has not released a blog to accompany this.

Seems like big news that both hardcore and casual fans of the series would enjoy reading more about.

That's why people want him as a commentator so he can be used in 2K's rosters.

It literally makes me laugh while watching it and it makes me remember my love of the NBA. Shaq was always one of my favorite players/personalities in sports. The overall chemistry through out that show is TV magic.

I have a 12 soon to 13 year old son (right when 2K comes out) who loves NBA2K series. It has allowed me to teach him the history of the NBA with the help of this game and it's historic teams. Half the time I think he wants a team back in Seattle more than I do, he even stole my Sonics hat (which was like $35.00). He wont give it back (I gave up asking) and part of me is so proud of him for loving the team so much even though he never got to see them play live. The point I'm trying to make is, even though it may be a small addition, having these guys in the game is huge to me. It helps me remember what I love about this game and it helps me to not focus on how much it hurts to have my childhood thrown away, by having my childhood hero's history negated. I remember having "The Glove" and "Reign Man" posters up in my room, the signed Supersonics pennant, I definitely remember Kevin Calabro's insane calls. Those are all things that this generation (my son) doesn't get to experience and to me it's a travesty.

NBA 2K16 is shaping up to be an amazing experience for anyone who loves basketball. From a fan who just likes to play a little bit of basketball online with his friends to old guys like me who want to bring back their childhood team. 2K is helping with the healing process and it allows guys like me to bring our Sonics back. It also has been a huge help over the years, by slowly bringing back my love of the game. That's something I thought would never, ever exist again. To everyone at VC and the NBA 2K team, thank you the game looks great.
Isn't he a local announcer for someone now? I love listening to him. I love the excitement he brought to the Inside Drive game at the time. It was so natural.

from Wikipedia: Calabro currently calls NBA games for ESPN Radio and ESPN television and college basketball and football for the Pac-12 Network. Calabro also calls the NBA Playoffs for TNT and postseason college basketball for Dial Global Sports, including NCAA tournament action.

Maybe because blogs seem targeted to address gameplay or mode updates to prep users on changes that will affect their gameplay actions.

Or maybe there's more coming when they reveal the rest of whatever they're been holding back on presentation, principally, Kerr's replacement.

With the publishers getting some game hands on in the next hour or so at 2k, maybe that reveal is coming tonight or tomorrow.

There is nothing wrong with speculation. What's wrong with people hoping or wishing for TNT presentation; or Charles Barkley or Reggie Miller for that matter? You don't know anymore about what will or wont be in the game than we do. So who are you to tell anyone how disproportionate bring it up is to the likelihood of it actually being in game? Until 2K or a dev says one way or another, we're all speculating to a certain degree. I didn't expect Barkley or Miller to be in the game this year. But who am I to tell those guys to stop bringing it? 2K hasn't said anything official. I just don't think it's right to poo poo on what another person wants to get out of the game if it has not been ruled out by the team.

I guess if you can't get the brand, you might as well get the people!!

We still don't know who's replacing Steve Kerr.
