Its not hyperbole.

I saw multiple people in threads anticipating new features speculate that TNT licensing was coming constantly. That speculation was based on nothing. Ive seen people state for a fact that TNT branding was coming. Its an obsession with some people here.

Again no one said that there was anything wrong with wanting it. I just think that the amount that it comes up on OS is disproportionate with the likelihood that it will happen and in my opinion the amount it would add to the game.

I don't see the excitement in getting Barkley, I feel these 3 are plenty, I mean we already have Shaq as the some what mascot to add comedy and take your mind off the game a little, no need adding Barkley just for him to throw jabs at everyone like he does in real life it would take away from the presentation in my opinion. And to have him giving actual basketball insight wouldn't look right because he hardly does that in real life. Only version of Barkley I want to see in the game is on a classic team.

It has taken me awhile to get over the Sonics basically being stolen from my city and moved to OKC (which I now live 150 miles away from). One of the major reasons I got back into the sport was because of Charles, Shaq, Kenny, and Ernie on Inside the NBA on TNT. It literally makes me laugh while watching it and it makes me remember my love of the NBA. Shaq was always one of my favorite players/personalities in sports. The overall chemistry through out that show is TV magic.

I have a 12 soon to 13 year old son (right when 2K comes out) who loves NBA2K series. It has allowed me to teach him the history of the NBA with the help of this game and it's historic teams. Half the time I think he wants a team back in Seattle more than I do, he even stole my Sonics hat (which was like $35.00). He wont give it back (I gave up asking) and part of me is so proud of him for loving the team so much even though he never got to see them play live. The point I'm trying to make is, even though it may be a small addition, having these guys in the game is huge to me. It helps me remember what I love about this game and it helps me to not focus on how much it hurts to have my childhood thrown away, by having my childhood hero's history negated. I remember having "The Glove" and "Reign Man" posters up in my room, the signed Supersonics pennant, I definitely remember Kevin Calabro's insane calls. Those are all things that this generation (my son) doesn't get to experience and to me it's a travesty.

NBA 2K16 is shaping up to be an amazing experience for anyone who loves basketball. From a fan who just likes to play a little bit of basketball online with his friends to old guys like me who want to bring back their childhood team. 2K is helping with the healing process and it allows guys like me to bring our Sonics back. It also has been a huge help over the years, by slowly bringing back my love of the game. That's something I thought would never, ever exist again. To everyone at VC and the NBA 2K team, thank you the game looks great.
