Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions

The break tackle animations in this one are too damn long to be effective.

Also I feel like EA overdid it with the QB in accuracy in the mid range.

Now if we can just get an option to start in the offseason pre draft(like ps3/360 NHL) for those that would like that like myself.

The game is great my favorite madden yet(should be) my games have been great love the catch battles it really helps to eliminate roboQB. Only issues I've had are two. Lack of penalties the sliders are still default so i guess i could change this. The other is lack of dropped balls. I guess the CPU can't determine a drop from a good def play. Oh well overall I'm very satisfied great job EA.

Has it seemed to anyone else that the crowd is much worse than last year? I was in the AFC Championship game, and it sounded like I was playing in a preseason game.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions

This game has its issues, but when it's good, it's f***ing great!

Ran a wheel route with CJ Anderson vs the Lions for a 68 yard TD. Coverage was man and looked decent, but 75spd Brandon Spikes was the man covering. CJ blew by him after about 15-20 yards and caught in in stride with the RAC button. That was just one beautiful moment.

The best feeling in this game is seeing real football when it does happen: Stafford missing an open man on a crucial 3rd down and seeing your D sprint off the field and celebrate, Manning dropping one in over a LB, inexperienced Chase Daniel going toe-to-toe with Manning then throwing a pick to seal the loss after a great personal game (we won 19-17 and he finished 13/21 211 1TD 1INT), an RB actually fighting for yards in a scrum and occasionally breaking free, getting PI called on a 1-on-1 jump ball...

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions

The gameplay is fantastic. From smooth animation transitions to the new catching and throw mechanics, it plays a great game on the field.

Pending the CFM patch, this game can be great overall. All they need are some OL/DL improvements (as far as techniques, protections and schemes) and improvement upon the DB interactions - these aren't bad to begin with though. Pulling for Joe Thomas on the cover of Madden 17!!!!

The game modes are fun also, draft champions is a welcome addition.

I was skeptical of this dev team at first - they were just spouting the same fluff that we've been hearing for the last decade with no substance to back it up.

But these guys not only have created a great football game, they are on the verge of a great game covering all genres!

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions

Can we fix the terribly laggy play call menus? FFS. It takes too long to go from formation to formation, I'm sick of accidentally hitting X on a play because I'm trying to skip the replay or cutscene, and it really shows it's ugliness if you're in a hurry in the last minute of a game (trailing).
