Wow I've been a real pessimist because of all the failures, false promises and letdowns but this is just sick! Those improvements are basically 90% of what people have been asking for and more Basically too much to get into!

I will say this though, I have a feeling that passing is going to be a letdown again. I don't see anything truly new in that description other than the holding of buttons to call for players to move and to pass when letting go. There's still no (mention of):
- a button for chest pass
- a jumping overhead pass (many players do this to avoid interception)
- a pass around the side (decide which side you want to pass)
- a touch pass or ability to decide the speed of the pass

Well done on the other things though, I have a feeling rebounding, blocking shots, moving around (off the ball), late game situations, play calling are just going to be so much more realistic and useful this year.

Is flick flick like that Curry quick release floater, so deciding when to let that go?

I think you are right like you I am a heavy Icon pass user I don't see a good way to icon pass bounce pass based off what they released because the controls are the same. They will have to release advanced controls if possible

Now I am officially hyped. I cannot wait to get my hands on this game. If the game plays as good as it sounds 2k16 will be stuck in my ps4 for a long while. It's going to be a long 3 weeks.

And to think about 2 weeks ago there were people here saying things like "2k's taking it easy this year", "this is just going to be 2k15.5", "looks like the same game". Id love to see their reaction now.

I'm ready. Just give me my 2001 Sixers w/ Eric Snow and Larry Brown, and leave. Me. Alone

I respect Mike Wang as if he was my sensei. I copied every single word in his blog. I'm so proud, much kudos to the 2k team. Can't wait for the respective sim blog coming soon.

Well this all sounds absolutely amazing and now I'm at the point where I need to play a basketball game but 15 just will not do. Thanks 2K

Seems like playing as a big will be rewarding again, especially when it comes to impacting a game with defense and boards.

Now I just gotta hope all these things work as well as they sound and let me play defense just as good, if not better, than on offense like I used to be able to.

Did you read this sometimes it is not about control but the logic behind it and if they improved that along with speed things should definitely be better.

Quote:
Loads of passing improvements: faster ball speeds, better pass animation selection, completely re-written pass lane selection, ability to immediately break out of catches, step in catches around the rim, step out catches when crowded, less sliding on standing catches, boat loads of new content, and much much more. We’ve even added a new option to allow you to pick what’s most important when using directional passing. So you can go with the default tuning or you can bias it more toward stick direction or receiver openness.
Flick flick moves are moves that involved moving the shot stick twice like up and unders and moves in the pivot. Mike Wang has called them that since at least 2K11.

So it sounds like we can do way more flick flick moves and have control over the move.

Non of this means anything unless we see it for ourselves.

Remember when they said " Dynamic hairstyles, new hairstyles released with roster updates for current players"

Never happened, one of many things 2k just says. Not to be a debby downer but I have to see to believe.

It's almost every year the game goes down the toilet with so much BS.

Mike Wang said the game is going to be "FUN", I highly doubt it'll be just as fun as their competitor. Also, whats up with these guys not releasing a demo? That's very upsetting.
So much pessimism from someone that didn't even buy the game last year. Why not play the game for yourself and develop your own opinion Instead of going off the negativity you saw online. While 2k15 had its issues it was still a good game gameplay wise.

I don't know how you can reference the idea that 2K's games go "down the toilet" each year but ignore the fact that the competitor's game has been an incomplete product the last 2 years. Yet some how you know the competitor's game will be more fun. SMH

While I am also disappointed with the lack of a demo this has become a trend this generation. Many games aren't receiving demos. The Show didn't and, as far as I know, it is a great game. Madden didn't receive a demo and it is easily the best Madden I've played. A lack of a demo is no longer an indication of a games quality.
