Personal confession right there folks.

I'll translate. BEDs had no choice. He couldn't go under 85

On a more serious note, will he get to talk about other factors in ratings soon?

If he was healthy for the past 2 years and put up those numbers he did I would not be complaining about his rating and maybe even saying he is underrated. But that hasn't happened. He hasn't played more than 50 games and had 2 serious injuries in these last 2 years.

I still don't see how Kobe should be under an 85 tho lol that's the highest rated on the Lakers ; next highest prob an 80 or 81 . Yes Kobe was hurt but it's still not that great of a sample size for him to be in 82 -83 range . Fundamentally Kobe still one of the best . Let's just hope his physical ability is lowered that's all that matters to me

along with his on ball defense, 3pt shooting and moving midrange. Those are his worse shots

There's also so many other factors that goes into how he played last year. Kobe was obviously rusty to start out and had fatigued legs to end games which was to be expected given his previous injuries prevented him from working on his lower body. Then Byron burnt him out the first 2 months of the season, through all that though he had a few games where you could see he was still effective in a lot of areas.
His last 8 games though it seemed he found a balance finally but unfortunately he got hurt. In those final games he shot 37.7% from 3, 39.1% from 2 (in 6 of the 8 games he shot above 40%), averaged 14.6ppg, 7.6rpg, 8.1apg, and posted a TS% of 49.1% (season average was 47.7%). It's a small sample size, but you get the picture. Also, throughout the season he was surprisingly good at getting to the FT line even at his age averaging 7 FTA per with a FTr of 33.8% which is not far behind his career average of 38.8%.
