Thanks for the heads up but I don't use TNK's sliders although they are popular. I have my own custom set that fixes some of the issues I was personally having with TNK's set.

Ya I don't think it's a roster issue at all. It's just finding the right slider balance. My settings are the exact same as what you have listed. I know a couple times were definitely bad decisions by the CPU. One time the Yanks had first and 2nd with 1 out. Beltran rocketed a base hit to LF and Willingham had the ball in his glove a step before Ellsbury even touched 3rd, but none the less they sent him. Willingham's throw was even way off but Suzuki had so much time he just turned his body around and tagged him a couple feet up the third base line. I'll play some more games though before I start switching any sliders though. Two games isn't enough to get a good grasp on how sliders play out.

Anybody else seeing a ton of strikes thrown by the cpu? I use the sliders in the second post and the game is playing awesome other than that. I take most 1st pitches and i think ive seen 4 1st pitch balls through 5 games. I'm thinking having batting on all star instead of veteran could help but other than that I'm not sure.

When I said a couple of the problems I was having with OS sliders, this was one of the biggies. This is NOT a roster issue. You can tune down the cpu strike frequency, control, and consistency sliders until you get reasonable results. There is a thread here (ItBeMe??) that has lower strike frequency numbers that works well.

Another issue that I've been made aware of is that the cpu AI is dynamic. So if you keep taking every 1st pitch, well then ya, you will get a motherload of 1st pitch strikes. My advice is to mix up your approach and if that doesn't help, tweak sliders. But I was having a similar problem a while back.

I believe both version 2 and version 2a have the pitch edits.

Great rosters. I played my first game with them. Lost 6-5 to Astros, playing as Orioles. As to real life, O's struck out a lot and only hit homers. Also Tillman was out by 4th inning. Going to be fun to play with them over generations of the game.

Do player potentials change depending on their stats.

Say Josh Bell on the Pirates is a B potential and tears up AA. Will his potential move up to A the following season.
