Re: Why Line Play Will Never Be Realistic in Football Games

I don't care about realistic line play. I just don't want the QB to be able to stand in the pocket all day before rolling out and throwing across his body for a TD.

But if you want to be like a real QB, try very fast game speed. It makes you have to throw a lot quicker.

This is the truth. CPU does this way too often.

I read someone suggest this same thing and I gave it a shot by upping the gamespeed to Fast, and while at first while I adjusted to the new speed I took a lot of sacks and started throwing a lot more interceptions, it's awesome. It makes you know your reads before snapping instead of picking a random play and figuring out where your receivers are after the snap.

Also increasing the amount of holding penalties in tandem with upping the game speed helps prevent the CPU from standing in the pocket forever.
