Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here

Just a quick impression. I've seen more baseline, spin moves and hop steps on the X1 version of the game.

One thing I've seen that both have issues with are the the out of bounds or lack of out of bounds calls on the baseline. They force field is strong in this game.

I think the best fit is the Magic. Oladipo was just drafted this year, and he can be a stud SG or even PG. They're the team who you can make the most in the building dept.

I had to laugh earlier when I was playing...Was going baseline with Curry counting on the force field to squeeze around a defender and I got called for stepping out of bounds. Got caught trying to take advantage of that "broken" system lol

Never thought Id say this, but I like Live more than 2k now. The game continues to be more fun as you spend more time with it. One final deep gameplay patch n I'll be super pleased

I agree. While (heavily) flawed and in need of some patch fixes it's just more my style of game. The responsiveness of the controls is lacking, but the control decision seem familiar and make sense to me.

Can defintely respect posts like this, sometimes a game just fits your style of play....nothing wrong with that..

Baseline drives are even more frustrating due to that motion shift players do to keep you from the rim...it's kind've like the game doesn't have an answer for that sequence. It's a pretty cheap way out.

Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here

Has anyone else noticed higher FG% for the CPU in the last few days? Or is it just me and my suddenly sucky defense? In the last 3 games, CPU has shot over 50% against me, with me hanging around the 40-42% mark.

Also, does Kyrie Irving suffer from the "mascot syndrome" in this game? Meaning he is the coverboy and is more awesome than others? In one of those 3 games I faced the Cavaliers. Irving smoked me for 46 points, shooting 17/23 and hit all 5 of his free throws.
