Curious how people play defense vs the CPU?


Onballing them full time is impossible. They'll cheat you when they have to score I basically play a mix of coaching settings/defensive matchups, with help defense, manual boxing out and mix in some situational onball, like in the post or when the shot clock is winding down to try to get a user contest

I almost never use the defensive stance. It feels(to me at least)it does more damage than good.

It does, that's why I was asking. I don't have an issue sticking guys now. If he uses it quite a bit, chances are that's one piece of the equation.

I use it kind of like how I used the 'Aggressive' Modifier in 'The Other Game' a few years ago. Mainly when I want to give a bit of body contact

i dont really have too much of an issue playing on-ball defense. my biggest gripe is still how often the cpu goes to the post. im holding teams to 40-50% from the field but im still giving up well over half of my points in the paint. i havent downloaded the new update yet so maybe that will change but thats the only thing that stops me from playing more than two games at a time.
