Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here

It does seem at times the settings revert to not match what you have going.

I have free throws and shooting set to ratings. Also have play design art turned on.

There have been times as we all know that play art will disappear.

Well there definitely was a time shooting defaulted bc all of my guys were missing free throws until I started shooting them as if they were set to skill.

Probably a bug?

Do you guys feel you have to get too deep in the paint to trigger a layup animation?
Yes and no. I've triggered layups from outside the paint at the elbow (was hoping for a floater) but have also had times on the break where my player did a PUJIT instead of the desired layup.

I watch the feet. Time the release as the player starts to lift his heels onto his tiptoes.

i think the thing is, the release point in the jumpers in Live is way sooner than in 2k. That's why a lot of people are struggling. release the button sooner than later. Obviously some guys have a relase point later, but that's the exception IMO.

Needs an optional release meter

How is the game since the first patch arrived? I'm thinking of buying the game but not sure if I want to wait until every patch is in the game.

Read the impressions, guys.

It's an impressions thread, not a "should I buy this game so please rehash everything you've already said for me" thread.

Re: NBA Live 14 Has Arrived, Post Your Impressions Here

Just played the "Flash Back" Live Season game a couple of times...

on two separate occasions I had David West and George Hill (down 1 and down 3 respectively) dribble the clock out essentially handing me the game and killing the experience of what was previously a good game...

That sucks. Are you seeing the lack of end game AI in just the flash back games or regular nba today games too?

Fortunately I still haven't seen this rear its ugly head.
