I don't disagree I think its lazy of 2k and/or WWE to force us to pay for langston, Bella's and fandango when they should have been in game from the start (and the Usos not being in at all) but it is what it is

I'm 27 for what its worth

I'm 29 years old, I don't have the cash to just throw away recklessly. It's one thing to get extra content for a game, I'll pay for extra content gladly. However when things are purposely held back from the game in order to sell it to you at later date? That's garbage that shouldn't be stood for. Like Fandango and Big E both of them were around before the Wrestlemania cut off date for roster additions and yet they didn't include them and now are charging you after your 60 dollar purchase for characters that should have already been included. Then you look at the moves list. The Black Widow is one of the moves in the list. As in AJ's finishing move the Black Widow? So she's on the roster that's shipping with the game but I have to pay additional money for her move? Lil' Jimmy is a DLC move? Is R-Truth not already on the roster? There's no defending that ****.
Your right, I worded it totally wrong. Hope I didn't offend you. An I hear all of your points, and agree. But the thing is, 2k doesn't owe us anything. Unfortunatly they can remove anything they want even if it was already in the game for years and years. With that being said, you have every right to voice your displeasure with their business practices. I guess I'm too old and jaded to get all bent out of shape over this kind of stuff. Haha. (36 if your wondering).

I don't understand the "2K doesn't owe us anything" statement. It's not unreasonable to expect that relevant content deemed important enough to include as DLC last year (Usos) make it on-disc the next year.

I don't expect legend DLC to carry over year-to-year (as that should be more tied to that specific year's roster), but current roster absolutely should.

I'm again going to cite their statement that it takes three months to make a model (here, near bottom of page). Fandango and Big E made their in-ring debuts in April. By that timeline, these guys should be finished in mid-summer. I'm assuming they're also motion-capturing their moves and getting music/video from WWE at the same time. They can't be put in a game by October release? They're not tied to the WM Mode, so they wouldn't need any more testing than anyone else.

That's the stuff that gets me. I like the idea of DLC (I've purchased hundreds of songs in Rock Band), but I don't like to be so obviously screwed. DLC should be things that legitimately couldn't be finished in time, be it technical or licensing reasons, or whatever - not guys that could realistically have made the main game.

I'm not sure about Big E, but I heard that Fandango was supposed to be on the main roster, but it would have been without Summer Rae with him. They made Fandango DLC so they could have Summer Rae with him.

Yeah I hear that man. But I think the gripe shouldnt be with the fact that those guys should have been included, I think the gripe is the fact that there are about 27 slots taken up by 9 guys. That is alot of roster space that could have been devoted to a few more characters. Know what I mean?
And i think they left that fandango guy out because frankly, hes a lame character in the same vein as santino. They probably nixed him in the roster meetings they had, but decided to include him when his "theme song" took off for about 30 seconds. Really I wish this whole game was devoted to the past, I could care less about any of the current guys, other than show, taker, H and Brock. I would much rather have all of the current "stars" removed and have Booker, Eddie, The outlaws, demolition, Piper, and Luger all in. Not a stretch, theyve all been in the last few years I believe. How great would that be?

Re: WWE 2K14 Season Pass and DLC Details

I'm split on the duplicate guys. On the one hand, they could use some of the time devoted to creating them and instead create new guys. On the other hand, different models really helps out in the Attitude Era and 30 Years of WM mode. If they're going to have them in the game anyway, I like that they are separate and I can change music and all that.

I mean, it's a time management thing, not a "We have ___ roster spots, let's create all these duplicates!" You know?

I'd also like a game with an older theme one year. I actually like the idea of reliving these past moments, so if they could do one with the late 80's-early 90's I'd enjoy it. I wouldn't want it at the expense of the current roster, but hopefully they can do it one of these days. After Attitude and WM, not sure where they go next year for the nostalgia fix.

I myself am hoping for a WCW/ECW/monday night war type of mode. I would absolutey love that. And instead of recreating the past like attitude/30 years of wrestlemania, maybe it could be a mode like NBA2k14 Lebron path to greatness. We could control the WWE and beat WCW, or change the past and have a fantasy outcome. How great would that be!!!??

Re: WWE 2K14 Season Pass and DLC Details

Let me preface this with what I'm about to say is not necessarily something I support.

This is the gaming world we live in. We better get used to it. COD charges for maps (I know that's different than charging for wrestlers that exist but it illiterates my point) NCAA football charges for uniforms, and plenty of other games charge for after-market content.

Once again, I'm simply pointing out the fact that games have gone the way of micro transactions. Not the fact that certain wrestlers are DLC.

Fair or not its not going away.
