I was thinking upfield pressure, which I haven't seen at all with Madden. It's mostly the paddy cake animations with the front 4.
If all you're talking about is the DE's getting upfield I agree that looks great. I took it to mean the d-line actually beating the o-line and getting pressure on the qb which is not present in any of those videos. Maybe it's in and they chose not to show it in these particular vids, I'm just saying given their history I'm not going to believe it until it's shown or I have the game and can see it for myself. I've wasted a lot of money making the assumption that what they said was fixed was actually fixed in this series.

See here is what we need. We need two people playing and see the pressure from that and then we need to see 1 player vs cpu and see the players team get pressure on the cpu team. Don't show me what the CPU can do against a human and against itself. It's always been able to do that.

I think the intent of the vid was to show edge rushing and the formation of the pocket has been worked on. every thing ive seen indicated pressure from the front four. theres no effort to show every possible scenario in these few vids.

While this might be the case, will it be that way for the user controlled team? And will it be that way in head to head games. Often time EA shows off some good stuff, but it is only for the cpu team against you. I don't want to see that, I want my guys to play that way.

I agree on all counts.

Do we have defensive hot routes that let us blitz a specific gap instead of having to micro manage everything ?

Is there still warping in the game ?

Have they done anything to the practice mode to mke it more like a real football practice ? ( Like practice with my offense againts a set of random plays that use specific coverages I may be having trouble against)

Does the offense still dictate how my defense behaves pre snap ? I think its stupid that the offense can fake a audible and it resets your defense.

When you press the protect the ball button when running does the ball carrier immediately cover up or is there a big delay before he does it like current gen ? That delay is causing a lot of fumbled balls.

Is that force field around the hb where you cant run towards him fixed in next gen ?

Because of the way they have defense programmed. Recievers with high agility can run away from their route and then move back to the spot where the ball is being thrown while the ballmis in the air. This causes the defender to run away from the area that needs to be defended and take itself WAY outnof the play. Has that been addressed ?

Are defenders aware of the first down marker and goaline so that they are not tackling ball carriers in such a way that HELPS the ball carrier get a first down or cross the goalline ?

Can we call stunts for the defensive line seperate fro the play call ?
From what we've seen my guess would be that the answer to many of these is "no". A lot of this falls under the player movement area. You can still see the scripted outcomes and warping in M25 current gen. Just yesterday I was in practice mode and I threw a pass in the face of pressure to a blanketed receiver running a dig route. Right before the ball got there, which appeared like it would be broken up, My receiver suddenly warped past the defender and ended up with 5 yards of separation for a completion. Can you say scripted? This crap is what makes this game so frustrating. No one cares about throwing a pick or giving up completions if the guy is legitimately open or not, but when they pull the "hoodini" crap, it makes you want to throw the disc in an incinerator. He's covered, wait, now he's not!

I don't recall seeing any "REFS" on the field during game play. It might be a repeat of when the 360/ps3 came out, It took almost 3-4 madden releases before EA incorporated "refs" into the game...EA is really testing the patients of the consumers. The consumers are getting fed up.

From the other thread (no, I don't know the context or where the pic originally came from):

And yes, I know it's just one official in the pic.
