sports gaming is deteriorating with these exclusive licenses. only games i play now are nba2k and the show. Football and hockey are my favs but they r getting no love and im not spending 60 on this crap.

I actually think that the team tried, they tried to improve the logic, the line play. This game is built on such a poor foundation that it befuddles me how anyone, anyone from the developers top the hardcore fans and everyone in between, can look at this game with the power of the new generation platforms and not question why animations and player movement looks so stiff. So robotic. I know its essentially just a video game but come on.

This is what Madden 25 is.

The same game as last gen with prettier art, more active fans in the seats and double team blocking.

What it first have, better player movement to make it work towards looking more lifelike. If EA is never going to provide that give the consumer a company and developers that will.

I thank the Mods for letting us express our thoughts and frustration with EA. I think this time around it is justified to compare EA football to 2k football not as a put down but to compare and to let EA know with the exclusive license that we want 2k kind of football nothing less....

I would love to see a video on how Madden is made, as far as the animations, becuase its more confusing to me of how they have created these robtic movements rather then realistic movement. I mean do they mo-cap or is it all computer animated.

I know 2k is brought up alot but im just wondering how they damn near perfected player movement in there games with less time then MAdden. Unless the guys at Madden believe there game really represents the NFL game on field already...but that cant be the case.

Now, I gotta ask, are you talking about NFL 2K5? Or APF 2K8?

Because if you're talking about 2K5 I have this question, have you seen those running animations? Absolutely brutal and atrocious. It's like people forget that 2K5 also had many shortcomings, very many. Those running animations were so bad, I actually played Madden that year more than 2K.

Madden did so much right that year. DEFENSE, franchise mode was legit, it felt like a good game of football. Don't get me wrong, 2K5 also did a lot right too, but those running animations were puke worthy.

I was talking about AP 2k8, I never played 2k5, I loved Madden 05 that year. I was actually a guy that didnt understand how guys were not playing Madden 05 that year and choosing 2k5 instead lol.

You are talking about running animations from 2004 man. Its been almost a decade since 2k5 came out. If they were allowed to continue, they would have improve on some things, but EA pulled a hoe move. I am always amazed what 2k5 got done with the presentation, and on field action, that madden still can't get right. There is no way anyone can honestly say they didn't think madden would be further ahead by now.
