But truth be told, I was sorely disappointed with the E3 video, and honestly anything next generation Madden has put out so far. If the below video is what anyone thinks is appropriate for next generation Madden, they have sorely set their bar extremely low. Understandably based on Maddens' track record, but this Madden E3 video still looks like a video game.

What I am personally looking forward to in the upcoming next generation consoles (PS4, XB1) is for games to blur the lines of reality and digital video games. I want "people, in game characters" whether that be sports, or any other games to be "lifelike"

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the E3 Madden video is still cartoonish, video gamey.

I feel you, but this still looks so much better than what we've been shown lately.

Look at the way RGIII is calling out signals, never been in current gen.

The drop back is much slower and smooth, not in current gen or the footage.

The way he scans the field, definitely not in either we've seen so far.

How smoothly he transitions from pocket stance to the escape run. Again not seen.

The Lynch Juke, the way AP carries a couple ball carriers. All of this stuff was fresh and new and had me excited. While it doesn't look 100% real, it looked alot better than what we've been getting in motion. That's the stuff I was hoping to see around this time. That's the game I would've purchased for my PS4. I haven't seen any of that stuff in any of the footage that has recently been released. There's still more to be shown, but I haven't seen that stuff since E3.

It's going to essentially be the exact same.

What do you guys want them to do???

I think people had WAY too high expectations for next gen Madden and may not understand that the devs don't know the capabilities of these systems yet. First party next gen games are going to be much better graphically at first, they ALWAYS are. After a year or two the games will start to be pushed graphically and we will see much better LOOKING games. In the meantime, focus on the GAMEPLAY, the GAMEPLAY is what matters. To me, the gameplay looks pretty good, not great, but a definite improvement in terms of fluidity in movement and o/d line interactions look much improved. You can't turn a game that people are calling "trash" into "treasure" in one cycle guys. Continued improvement in gameplay and areas that matter is what we are wanting, let's hope it continues and at a faster rate, but at the same time, don't expect so much on the first iteration of a game on a new console.

Can anyone name ONE non first party title on 360 that blew you away graphically when Xbox 360 launched?

Everyone's talking about FIFA, but FIFA was a GREAT game on current gen, Madden wasn't. You have to keep these things in mind guys, it's going to take some time to get Madden on that level that we all want it to. Like I've said I don't expect it to take 5+ years to get there, I expect Madden 15 to be basically what we've been wanting, but how people could expect a port of Madden to compare to a port of FIFA is beyond my comprehension.
Really dude?? You serious?

Here's an answer.. How about for starters they try to catch up to a 10 year old(2k5) in the animations department?!! Lets start with that, sounds simple right since they did do that stuff that Madden still lacks 10 years ago?!!

Well the E3 videos were played on pc due to the xbox one not being ready yet. The ps4 is more powerful and been ready to program for longer. It may be better. Only if EA sports doesn't make it water down to match the xbox one

i think ea just flat out lies about footage sometimes. Like the Kyrie NBA live 'game footage'... where he is dribbling and then all of a sudden starts to talk to the camera. How is that actual game footage? EA misleads until they can rob you.

LOL. I could put any racing game on easy and never question if the driver had an eyes and a brain. I could put Madden on All-Madden and still wonder if the AI is even WORKING... Don't act like the difficulty level makes a difference in Madden AI. Cmon man..

have you ever played Forza?

I'm dumbfounded as well Sage. Everything in that video looks like a tremendous step in the right direction compared to current gen. I have no clue what happened. Maybe they had to tone things down since it wouldn't run smoothly if kept in.

I just don't know what happened between E3 and now...
