That's all a part of the business. There could be some hidden details about NBA Live's career mode that we don't know about yet.
If both modes are equal why would I go with the company with the inferior history?

As someone who plays BAP mode almost exclusively if EA BAP mode is similar to that of 2K I'll buy 2K only.

I want a good competition as much as anyone, but it would shock me if EA made a game anywhere near 2k's current level. If they had something special, I have to believe they'd be eager to show it off at least a little.
not true since EA already said they didn't want to do that much talking this year and just focus on making sure the game is ready to come out this year, plus they said they didn't want to show alot too early because of competition

Why would someone buy the same thing from a company that has failed recently over a company that has thrived?? Of course you'll get EA fans that will buy no matter what, but the masses want to see things on the back of the box that will warrant a purchase of two basketball games. And I say two because practically no one outside of EA fans is passing up 2k for Live. But if Live took another route with their career mode and style, then you could make progress. But it's hard to beat the bully fighting like the bully, even if some of the moves were originally yours. He has all the power now and you have to be smarter and more innovative.
If EA gameplay is better on next gen is a reason just like most prefer EA co-op modes because they have better servers.

because you shouldn't be buying a 60 dollar game just on one mode..what if one game has other things that is alot more interesting or better then one plus that one mode that you may be leaving from the game your use too..so if you leave that one game for the other..at least you still got that mode that your use to plus the new things that caught your eye...thats how market your items that your trying to sell when you know you got competition

If Live 14 really had things that were going to blow us away, I think they would be out there to reverse the damage that was done with two failed launches of the title. Even with this announcement of the career mode, there wasn't a trailer or anything. A typed press release and a picture and people are excited?? Do I want Live 14 to be awesome, of course I do, I love basketball. Is a CG video and some words on paper worth $60?? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! EA has EARNED the right of us being skeptics until completely proven otherwise in my opinion. If they drop an awesome gameplay video today and some features 2k doesn't have, I will be running to reserve it.
ok then give it time but why are you going so hard on game that haven't come out yet, or even showed anything yet that matter..can judge something you don't see...if judging from the past i understand but they don't have different ppl working on the game this year and brought back some ppl who made the games that did actually came out in the past when they was on it..so it wouldn't be fear to judge these ppl since they wasn't on those games that failed

Right now they're basically saying, we haven't gotten basketball right in years, but this fall we'll be attempting to duplicate what the champ has already perfected. I just don't get the cause for excitement. Fooled me once with Elite and even second time with Live 13, not anymore.
that point is EA is starting over, they said this plenty of times already..they know they lost alot of fan base over the years..so right now they just showed the ppl who is on the fence that they won't be missing one of the popular modes if they play Live this year..its not big deal to some cause they looking for something new which is fine but it is nice knowing that your not going to missing a mode that the other game has, this is only point of them showing this not to be saying o our game is better..now when they show things that the other company doesn't have thats when that type of mind set kicks in "o we got this and this is why you should by out game"....this mode just to kinda make ppl feel comfortable knowing that won't be missing this mode if they want to try live period

Re: EA Sports Announces Rising Star, Career Mode For NBA Live 14

LOL at the pettiness in this thread. People can't even be constructive or speculate as to what EA's Career mode could bring to the table.

I get the feeling a lot of people who posted in here aren't even looking forward to what Live brings to the table, but rather waiting for the opportunity to nitpick and/or find reasons to justify why they put their money in 2K's pockets.
