I don't like that Phill and Jim will tell you it's a first down before the chain gang goes out on the field to measure. it kind of takes away that same anticipation that you get watching a real NFL game.

Maybe it's an easy fix

EA's communication

It would be nice to have someone from EA responding to any of these issues in this forum. I remember last year there was someone from EA keeping everyone up to date. Someone at least saying that they are aware of some of these issues and that they are working on them.

Was just returning a kick w/ Randall Cobb while playing my buddy. Started off right and made a nice cut to the left to bust it wide open. Everything was looking great until Hauschka starts running Cobb down. He didn't make the tackle but made me change my angle and slowed me down to where somebody else was able to. This game really seems to be lacking break away speed b/c I had no business getting caught (wish I could upload a video)

Using gamespeed of normal and threshold of 25 btw

I had almost no interest in purchasing Madden 25 before this demo, but now I'm considering it. Its not great, but it can be fun if you can overlook some ridiculous things (like Russell Wilson steamrolling over a 240lb linebacker). I've enjoyed it quite a bit, but I hope they clean up some truly strange stuff that I've seen after only a few games.

Most annoying is that sometimes on pitch plays, the RB runs like he's stuck in mud, and it takes a second after hitting the sprint button to get out of the animation. By then, its too late.

I also saw probably the most bizarre CPU run I've ever seen in years of football video gaming. Lamichael James took a screen pass, and spun his way like a tornado down the sidelines for a big gain. I'm not kidding. He did like 8 spins in a row... spin left, spin right, spin left... all the way down the field. There was no need for more than one spin, and he would've easily scored if not for all the extra spinning. Really hope that doesn't happen in the final build.

By and large I enjoy the demo, but All Madden difficulty is brutal. First run play, Marshawn Lynch breaks seven tackles for a 50-yard gain, lol.

As always for me, All Pro with a few slider tweaks appears to be the way to go.

I really like that the stadium sounds for Green Bay made it in - "Go Pack Go" and "Bang On The Drum All Day" in particular. Hopefully they cover more teams than the Pack in the final game.

The game took control and had him go left out of bounds instead. It wasn't a momentum thing either, he was defending a streak and running straight back towards my end zone when it happened.

I also had a instance where I called man coverage and took control of the mlb assigned to the te. The rolb was assigned to the rb. Ball is snapped and the rolb decides to double the te. The rb is open for a 40 yrs gain. I chalked it up to a missed assignment but it felt cheap.

As the user I only have control over 1 player on the field and the assignments of the other 10. If the cpu is overriding that input, what's the point?

I am finding the passing game in NCAA more rewarding. I play as the Buckeyes and when guys beat their receivers I can lead them and the will catch it on the run without slowing. I cannot, for the life of me lead my receivers in Madden 25 demo. The pass always hangs up there and it becomes a jump ball everytime, leading to excessive pickoffs and some deflections.

Many have posted that Madden 25 is a tweaked NCAA 14 passing package, but I am not feeling it.
Not that I've ever rushed to the defense of EA & Madden, but I'm a little surprised to see you mention this. After the first few games of the Madden 25 demo, I found it lackluster in comparison to NCAA 14. But I think that was mainly because I love the way NCAA 14 looks from the coordinator cam, and I don't appreciate the default Madden cam. Once I got past the camera, I think I may like Madden more than NCAA.

As for passing, I find leading receivers in the Madden 25 demo to be almost too powerful. I'm able to basically change receiver routes on the fly away from DBs just by using lead passing. So I guess I'm just not seeing what you are, and not sure why. Maybe you're referring to deep routes, which I'll admit I haven't had much success with. But lead passing is very helpful on 10-20 yard in & out routes. I can practically turn an out route into a corner route if I need to buy my WR some space.
