No new ratings.......

No new sliders.......

Still bad CPU play calling......

Option game still not good.......

OL/DL interaction the same from last year......

CPU QB still way too accurate.....

Nothing new on the defensive side of the ball other then breakdown mechanic which is automatic.....

Oh well, my expectations were very low to begin with and didn't expect anything other then IE 2.0. Guess I will just wait to see what they can tune up before retail.
Suprised? Well can we get some new cleats, helmets, visuals, stadium upgrades, chain gang, face mask, colored towels & socks etc.. Its obviously from the screens and info coming out this is the same game with a few added additions..

They come out with a list of "features", so called features that should be expected in a football game in the first place, and people get on the hype train. Why? I'm not entirely too sure.

Then, people who have played the game say none of the glaring issues from the past 6 versions are fixed. Then, people say, it's an early build, they can tweak, just wait for the demo. The demo comes out, same issues are still present, people are up in arms about how it's just a demo on a low difficulty level and that retail will be much better.

Retail version comes out, same problems are still there, and more glaring bugs and glitches are present. The people who were defending the game say how crap it is, and just like last year that they're never buying another EA football game again.

It's seriously sad that EA can fool these people year after year. They called their physics system, features. The way it was worded in the gameplay blog was that the physics would only trigger in certain situations, just sad.

How do you tout footplanting, fatigue and cut back lanes are your primary features in a football video game? Someone please tell me how these are features?! Especially when line play hasn't been touched, the option still blows according to people that have played it, and i'm sure the safety glitch is still there.

My head hurts from trying to figure out how ANYONE will buy this game.
I feel this post and after 8 years of expecting some miracle to happen with EA football games this gen, I finally get it. This time of year is naturally an exciting time because NCAA Football begins to get us hyped for college football, which leads into Madden hyping us for NFL football. The trick is to enjoy all the hype and excitement around the new EA football games but don't let that lead you into an impulse buy.

It's like watching one of those infomercials for some new product, it's cool to mark time watching all the features it has and what they claim it can do but there is no need to spend money on some product you are only going to use a few times then shelve.

I'll still buy the game, but I will be buying used just like I did last year. I'll get a month out of it, then trade it in towards 2K, just like last year. Essentially a rental.

It's the exact reason the EA devs for this game don't visit the OS forums anymore. They know the majority of us are fed up, they know they can go to the EA forums and tout how they fixed team colors, added stadium upgrades and facemasks, and the masses over there would celebrate like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

But showing us that foot planting and cut back lanes are BACK in the game, when we last saw them on the PS2 and first Xbox feels like a spit in the face.

These are things that should have been in since NCAA 06 for the Xbox 360. They wasted our time this gen, they know it, we know it. For the life of me I don't understand how more people haven't figured it out.

All that's true enough but like I stated, people, including myself, just get swept up in the hype. Nothing wrong with it really, as long as it's all kept in proper prospective. My problem has been the previous 8 years, I completely lost any perspective and was expecting a different game than the one before it. EA football games and the exclusives are the only time in the history of my gaming life I can think of that I continued to buy games year after year, that I didn't enjoy the previous year. This going on 9 years has been like some marketing clinic, slash social experiment, on habitual football gaming consumers.

This year I will enjoy the hype train like Soul Train and watch the show EA marketing puts on but I damn sure won't be buying either game on these consoles once it's over, lol,

Yeah same here. Love the hype and OS this time of year. It's always my favorite part. It's actually more fun than playing the games at times. I got NCAA last year because it was 40 bucks and Madden was purchased for me, but this year I just can't do it no matter what happens. It's just disrespectful to me had they added jukes from 09 back into the game and they're calling it foot planting. I mean maybe I'm wrong, I'll play the demos, but that's exactly what it seems like they did. Same animations and all. SMH .

might be showing my age here but it was the same way last gen. ps2, ea did the same and so did us as the consumer. i know alot of guys say 04 was one of the best but it was a pure arcade football game. half the routes didnt work, the players were so huge compared to field. you couldnt run half the routes or run plays. 06 was ok and then 09 was really great on ps2 but still all lacked any kind of ai or sense of realism. this gen, early on was a great article about the ai capabilites of the 360 and ps3 and after that i knew we would have a hybrid all gen. to weak of AI to really create a football sim so they kept alot of who the older more arcade style from last gen, so we still have alot of canned animations instead of a flowing game. i guess my expectations have always been tempered on this gen because i knew we wouldnt get the real football experience because the system itself wouldnt allow it.

its really gonna come down to this next gen and if they do like they did last time and try to get the game out within the year of launch instead of building a good base for a few years, there will be a good chance we just get small upgrades every year with alot of marketing hype. but of course this is just my opinion after going through this a few times already with NCAA/BILL WALSH since the 90's

Do what I have done the last 3 yrs. gamefly it.... Wait til patch then play for a bit then forget about.

Same cycle over and over.

The new consoles are right around the corner, so the cycle will repeat ALL OVER AGAIIN from square one.

I hate EA so much.
