Yep...they want 1/2 million dollars for the rights to that stadium.
Even if you agreed to pay a GREAT amount it would not work for them.
They took a bath on the historical stadiums they put in that one year(I think they are still blaming me for hounding them on that one.)

Maybe one day....who knows?

I benefited from the fact they gave the classic stadiums for free if you pre paid for the game but do you think if they had made people pay for it from the start do you think it would have made more sense? I know nothing about the business aspect of it just spitballin. The one thing I think they could have done better was picking stadiums that had a little more relevance to the average player. For example I'm 42 and I never watched a game from one of those stadiums. If they had went Tiger, old Comiskey, and Candlestick, then mixed in some turfs, I am for my own wants going Riverfront ( you could sub veterens, or Three Rivers) the '70's Busch and the Astrodome you would have a good mix of really old parks and the cookie cutter era but their all stadiums that people could have reasonably watched games from. Once again spoken with no real knowledge of the business just from what I want and it seems from the throwback rosters people do that would have covered a lot of ground that people would want.

Being able to use your money for something in RTTS, and more hair styles and facial features as well.

I think they went in with that first batch as a test run...they were low cost(except for the Polo Grounds....they wanted one or the other...Ebbets or Polo) to see if they could come relatively close to keeping it going.
Not so close.
I'm not sure how close they could come to trying to resemble some real old time stadiums without getting "in trouble"...but that would work for me!
Just gotta keep asking.

Re: What Does MLB 13 The Show Need to do Next Year to Satisfy Your Baseball Gaming Ne

1. I want additions to franchise mode (I play this mode almost exclusively): player roles would be great (like those implemented in NHL 13 this year (ex: 3rd line FWD, 1st line scoring FWD, minor top D pair), with different star potentials and the likelihood of reaching those potentials indicated by a color). Not everyone reaches their potential. I would love improved trading and AI logic, but who doesn't want that. Also, another thing I like in the NHL series, is the ability to upgrade your scouting and injury prevention. Although keeping your facilities (gym, and auto-pitcher, etc.) is pretty much the same thing. Improved franchise specific commentary and immersion (tickers, twitter headlines (ex. Madden 13), mlb network highlights show, ESPN sunday night baseball, TBS). This is all part of my utopian world for sports gaming though. Haha.

2. The ability to continue a franchise from mlb 13 the show to mlb 14 the show. This is an extremely lofty request as stated many times before, but it would be epic.

3. I like the new throwback uniforms they are including this year.

4. I love the ability to fast-forward 1/2 an inning or a full inning or a few innings to save time sometimes so hopefully they never take that out.

5. Also, Madden 13 implemented the whole draft stories thing this year. I had a great time trading up to allow myself to draft two brothers that played for UCLA. If nothing else, they should add the colleges, leagues, and countries that the prospects come from. In NHL 13 they obviously have all of the junior teams in the game, and with Madden it at least shows that this guy went to Illinois and this guy went to Stanford. I love drafting players from colleges that I am a fan of or graduated from.

6. New playoff format

7. Knight's rosters again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of these are simple, and others are probably out of reach at this point.

Looking forward to MLB 13: The Show more this year than any year in the past b/c of the NHL LOCKOUT!!!

I love this list.
Especially #6!

Seriously though.
Player roles...this is something tabarnes is talking to the dev team about for a future feature. AaronSCEA has already given us some great ideas on things he would like to add if they work on player roles in regards to FA signings and how a player will be effected in your 5 day window for re-signing(and hopefully mid season signings) such as offering a spot in the rotation....assuring the CPU role...or a starting position on the team.
I love the idea because it adds another layer of strategy.

#4 will still be in...I'm sure.
Who knows?...maybe it will be even better

I like where you're going with that last comment Knight. What if I want to fast forward to a particular players next at bat? Or sim to the end unless the scores within two after the seventh inning.
