Really like the movement and feel of the game. Still some regular 2k problems like floor spacing, but overall it definitely feels awesome. The physics and feel of the players is amazing. They even improved momentum on jump shots, which is fantastic.

The controls feel weird, but as expected. I think with a little practice I'll get used to the "hold L2" for shot stick, but I do really like the iso moves on the right stick. Also I like that they kept some basic moves on the left stick as well, meaning I can do some size up moves without using the right stick.

Hopefully this game is as good as the demo. In the past, 2k demos have been awful while the game is much better. If this is any indication, this may be one of the better basketball games in quite some time. Hopefully it fulfills that promise.

Downloading it now ,but sadly i'll be stuck with broadcast. Probably gonna go over to a friend's who also has the demo and has a kinect tomorrow so I can try out some plays and switch to the 2k Cam. Thanks to Chris Smoove for making a video showing you can switch camera's and run plays in the demo with kinect.

Also wanted to note that I really like all the little off-ball collision animations this year. Anytime two players collide, they try to animate like they're aware of the other guy and go into a variety of brush off/slip/collision/reaction animations. It makes the off ball game look so much less jarring with a whole lot less robotic sliding. This is a great step towards a game with zero sliding and proper foot planting.

What's cool is it happens even between players on the same team and even extends to players bumping into each other in between plays/at end of quarters. I think sometimes they even have words with each other. I knew 2K13 had this during dead ball sequences but I'm glad it was an outflow of the actual gameplay rather than just a neat thing to clean up the presentation between plays.

Re: NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here

A few observations from the games I've played:

- The game is smooth once you get the hang of the control stick.

- Defense is actually called for loose ball fouls this year!

- The game reminds me of a mix between Live 10 and Pro Evolution Soccer. Live for the fluidity of the control stick and PES for the signature skills/Player I.D. and controls. I made a couple of posts last year saying that it seemed 2K was making the game like soccer with the passing. Well, it's the same this year. With PNR, you have to hold the button and lead the cutter, which is a nice addition.

- I can't wait to play with post up players this year if they fixed zone. Once again, I was reminded of Live 10's post game with 2K13's fluidity.

- Did 2K get rid of escape dribbles? I really hoped they would've brought it back a little less cheesy than last year.

- Self alley oop: tone that ish down! I can already imagine the pause and replay abusers replaying this every time.
