I was doing some test on the demo, and i've come to the conclusion that the Marking slider for User should be lowered they tend to keep thei shape alot better. On the flip side when you crank up the Marking slider for the cpu they defend alot better gives you a better challenge. I put the Cpu Marking at 100 and The User at 40. I'm running some other test with other sliders also.

Going with the "turn down the CPU marking" has been great for me. I put both down to 4 and the resulting turnovers have made a much more organic, fluid style of play. I also dropped the line depth which has really helped with the CPU responding closer to the box. Going to mess with the speed and passing sliders now. Just had a 2-1 defeat from Arsenal at Man City. It was by far the most even and "sim" match I've played yet... Has anyone really got a "sim" slider for passing? It's still a little too precise on the CPU's part for my taste.

My struggle is havin the defenders play space and watch their man at the same time ill try bringing the Marking slider down. I have my line height is at 40 length 25 and width 20 getting good mid field battle mix. I'm on ps3

I'll try that. I'm actually playing on PC, with 20 minute games. (demo expander) I think that is really helping, as the aggressive attacking play normally doesn't begin until after the half or when I happen to get up by a couple of goals. I have also noticed that the D tends to keep shape the lower the slider. I don't think there is a slider combination that will give us close marking, as in physical contact or shoving. Fifa isn't designed that way. But I have noticed that they close really well in front of the box and will muscle you in the box. I just want to find that mix of sliders where every pass isn't on target by the CPU and the CPU plays proper position, even if it is at a distance that isn't quite realistic.

I have pass error set at80-85. I'm seeing pass accuracy's of 68%-80% at the end of every game.

I play on Manual thru- balls too. I did have it on all manual but felt it too hard to keep up with the cpu's precision.

I just turned pass error up to 75. I think I might go up to your settings. I like how it amplifies the first touch errors. I think that's one thing Fifa has to really work towards, the randomness of the real game. It's like they want to maintain the ability to make the highlight play. Problem is, that you can get to the point where it isn't a big "wow" thing, anymore. You score enough of them, and they are just "ho hum." I'm going to keep seeing how "ugly" I can make this game play. I'm really starting to enjoy the 1-0, 2-1 games that I've been getting as I tweak the sliders away from defaults....

Please list your full set when you find that sweet spot your looking for. I want to give them a try.

Increasing passing error to 85 creates artificially lowered passing %'s. You get more interceptions because all passes are bouncy and slower so your defenders have more time to react to them. The passing error slider has not been fixed from last year in terms of error on placement.

I just played Milan (me) vs Juve. Pirlo played a handful of balls not on the ground. I'm ok with it on long passes but his short pass is a 95. They should be crisp and on the ground.

I did see 2 great foul calls and a very cool quick restart where my guy got fouled, the ball rolled on to another defender, there was no advantage and my other defender passed it to the guy who got fouled who re-started play. It was very natural.
