As it stands right now Fifa is going to have to do a lot for me to get both games

PES has that good old feeling back and it is a blast to play agian at the moment. I just hoped they don't change too much for demo 2 and retail.

Can you imagine if demo 2 being BETTER then this? smh lawdy. Im already addicted, played 50+ games. Now if demo 2 is even better and the retail just adds to it; imma be in trouble. Im not even a big soccer fan but im enjoying this little demo more then ive enjoyed madden 12 and NBA 2K12 and those are my fav sports ( even though im rocking hockey all over my arena lol ) .

Changed the layout thanks, love it! Love the presentation. I just dont like how you can easily just keep turning on the D to get around them.

I had a PES game back in the day on PS2, and it was great. If Winning 11 is the same game, I had #9 Winning 11.

Haven't played any since that time and on the cpu with mods. Been Fifa player past two year and really happy with the game/Ultimate team. Still I downloaded this demo and a couple of things :

I'm pretty impressed, it seems a little more fluid of a game rather than feeling like things were a little "scripted" like I do in EA games. Another thing I really liked was how the attackers would attack after shots and giving opportunities on rebounds. Really done nice (one point where Fifa fails miserably and drives me crazy)

The player ID is also a very nice touch and gives a little bit more personalized feel and swagger to the game. Next, I really like the ball mechanics and the "weight" of the ball in this game a little better than Fifa. It really gives you an opportunity to make realistic shots outside the box and actually have a chance to score - Something that I can't do (and some being controller skill) in Fifa.

I didn't look at controls a lot, but I'm not sure how to do any moves so I flicked the right stick and could only do one move the whole time so that took just a little away for me, but that's not the game's fault of course.

The cons : Seemed a little bit too easy - While the shooting outside is a very nice touch and I really enjoyed it, at the same time my feeling is that in a longer match possibility of having too many of these go in the net is a little concerning for me.

The other thing is the cpu AI on defense, again seemed a little to easy to just purely dribble and change direction and run circles around the guy. And, I started to see a troubling trend of the defends near goal line, towards the side of the field PASSING the ball to the middle of the box - which my striker usually grabbed for an easy score.

So first impression, overall is I think it's a pretty good game, didn't feel totally different than Fifa but there are areas where each are a little stronger than the other by just a hair.

FIFA doesn't compare to PES2013. And I think it will take a hell of a lot for FiFA 13 to surpass it as well.

PES2013 is incredibly realistic simulation and at the time fun. A remarkable balance that they have struck.

The game plays out so realistically: the way the players move into spaces, the individuality in player movement and animations, the way players make runs... It plays out like your watching a game on the tele. So much variance. Every goal and play is unique. Going back to FIFA12 feels incredibly scripted. Every game plays the exact same way. It doesn't feel free.

PES 2013 on the PC.... The only way to play !!!

I think this is exactly how I feel about both titles too and it sums up the differences in both these games.

I always felt that Fifa had the more colorful and dynamic visuals in regards to a livelier and more polished looking game the had crisp visuals but where the game really falls apart is how robotic the AI seems to be programmed to do only a limited range of things in it's vicinity whereas PES feels like the more dynamic human like cpu opponent that creates more variety and distinctions between the different teams and player's skill sets and behaviors.

Anyone who has a keen eye to sports should be able to easily see these differences between the titles. I sure did and Im not really even a HUGE soccer fan, but PES probablly feels like the MOST dynamic of all sports games I have played. There's such a sense of individualism and subtle skill distinctions between each player that looks and feels authentic not canned or mapped to certain animations. More sports titles (not just soccer) should really disect and try to mimic how PES achieves this brilliance.

another note on changing the button layout - last game owned was 2011, never played 2012 so not sure if it was new last year or this year, but when you change the button layout the command list option shows button inputs for your button layout, not the default. Love it.
