Madden's had Roster Editing for many years, and had it in franchise last year. All my Sports games have Roster Editing and Franchise/Association editing. And if a feature is missing, like importing draft classes, or mult-iplayer offline, and that is the way gamers enjoyed Madden, then those are CORE features. If it takes the enjoyment of playing away from someone, then they are core features to that person.

Sorry, but based on EA's track record thus far I am quite skeptical of all of this.

Storylines and twitter personalities, to me, suggest a high level of scripting (i.e. pre-determined outcomes). Dynamic ratings have been in previous iterations of Madden.

Guess we'll see.

It works in HC09, so we will see if it works in 13.

The draft stuff in HC09 works well the other stuff gets old very quick like gus' commentary in M12

Cnada, (or anyone who can actually answer it or provide some resemblence of insight)

you seem to be speaking from a position of some sort of inside info so ima make the assumption that you are maybe involved with the game changers.

ive read bits and parts of this thread but as of this moment ive read about the last 10 pages so ive read what youve wrote recently about the storylines and the background stuff that you say is going on that in some way prevented player edits to be included.

so lets assume for a moment i buy what your saying. i have a few Qs for you.

what does any of that have to do with, the lack of ability to edit equipment (i like for my team's players to all have the same helmets, gloves, and shoes), custom playbooks (removing broken plays, creating new offensive schemes - maybe, inspired by the Pats, i want a playbook with every 2TE set and nothing more), or the ability to play CC offline with more than 1 user (for example father/son, brother, or a friends situation). how does any of this have any effect on the integrity of the mode?

i will respect any answer you give if you have 1. but please do not say that they didnt have enough time, because that is an answer in my opinion that answers nothing really because it is an answer that can be used for infinity. it is like a get out of jail free card type of answer.

Me too. That is the only way I've played Madden for over 10 years now so if I can't do that there's no reason for me to get the game. I like having my CAP on a team but also doing the GM/coach aspects at the same time, but in this years game it appears you can only do one or the other. I still have Madden 12 and am more than happy to download an updated roster for that and play it again this year.

@Taj those features were not ready, because the mode was first built for online. online was prolly chosen as the starting point because it is more restrictive than offline. who cares if youedit all your teams players to 99s, create a cheese playbook, or even control all teams in your offline world, but all of those need to be controlled in the online setting. the dev team didn't have time to implement those features in the new mode and test them properly. it isn't hard or time consuming to implement most o f them, but testing and debugging them is a long tedious process.

Not one bit. I used to be a seriously hardcore offline guys... Long story but to cut it short my offline franchise used to cost me about an extra $150 a year. I'm always good to.see others happy and excited about something in the game, even if it isn't for me. I was happy to see offline franchise guys get some love last year cuz they were due. Most online guys I know don't hold anything like that against offline guys. For the most part online guys have a "we" mentality as it stands for everyone... The entire community.
