@PGaither84 Some of the stuff just didn't make it. Not sure about all of it. It's a new mode from the perspective of one character.

@Josh_Looman I understand... and I am excited for the improvements! I just hope a lot of that stuff is on the "to do list" instead of cut
If only all people were even half as respectful as this when it came to tweeting him.

All we want is a clear explained answer on why, not the "we didn't have time" thing, and really how could you run out of time when you worked on this for 2 years?

Explain how editing ratings, and having fantasy drafts, playing other games would have effected CCM. That is all we ask, did you make it to storyline based oriented where a simple rating change would screw it up, did a simple depth chart change what Jim and Phil say in commentary, etc. What was it that caused these things to be removed?
Generally, big companies where people have to deal with the media give a media training to their employees. Some times, even Teams give this options to his players... at least in soccer. Thatīs the reason you see those generic answers, like the time excuse. Iīm used to see this in several Companies, I would be surprised if EA do not give this options to his employees who need to interact with media.

Unfortunately for the ones who care about the famous "little things", Loomas first response at his twitter appears to be what he really think about this subject. By his change of tone(in my opinion), someone at EA responsible for this area told him to come back to the mode he learned at his media training.

The interaction between him and PGaither84 say it all, we, the ones wanting those features back, need to be prepared for a lonnnnnnnnng wait.

2 years ago DeSean Jackson got a concussion. He was wearing a Schutt Air helmet. After the concussion he switched to the Schutt XP. Being able to change things like that, as small as it is, is very important to some of us detail oriented players. Same goes with Big Ben...when he broke his nose he started wearing a visor. We now don't have the ability to make the players how we want.
This is a bit overkill. Most players aren't going to be that worried about what specific players wear.

They can't design games based on things like this.

I'm a bit peeved. At first I could overlook not importing NCAA players due to the fact that my superstar college players would come out in the draft at age 25 after his jr year and also how no qbs really got drafted in the top 10. Now reading about not being able to customize draft picks and players over the course of a season really bugs me. I have bought madden since it's inception. I have grown to love this series. Since it has went to next gen I have watched it digress year after as they sugar coat they're deficient modes with so called new "innovations" they implement. I love having the control of doing whatever I wanted in "MY' NFL. That is reason I buy the games to be able to feel like a GM and have the players look how I want and have some sort of connection with the players I draft and mold year after. I'm not sure if I can overlook some of the lack of control this year, at least not for 60 bucks. Knowing me, I'll still give in and buy...soley off of loyalty.

The loss of custom playbooks & editable rosters is a deal breaker for me. I'll stick with NCAA since I can customize that game.

I'm by no stretch an equipment junkie but I beg to differ with that last statemrnt, its getting the details right which seperates products , games or otherwise.
Things like faces , equipment , chants, logos as well as ratings and attributes seperate one player from another, one stadium etc.
Without such things done well you have a career mode that's feels like little more than a series of generic games and no immersion.

Really, the only thing I'm kinda ticked off about is the editing of equipment/numbers. I could care less about fantasy drafts (I play the REAL NFL) Co-op franchise (I play games alone mostly) and definitely editing ratings (come on, no one likes a cheeser). One of my biggest pet peeves is when a RB or a WR doesn't have gloves. Seriously, how many backs in the NFL don't wear gloves anymore? So I'm hoping that they're all automatically given gloves so it won't bother me much. If I ever trade for Larry Fitzgerald or Calvin Johnson, I'll just release the player that holds their number before acquiring them (unless they're really good).

All in all, the pros FAR outweigh the cons. New presentation, infinity engine, the amazing CCM that is TONS better than that BS franchise from M12. Yeah, this is a Day 1 buy for me

I'm not too excited about the new presentation. Nance and Simms seem a bit dry. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I actually prefer the same old Nessler and Herbstreit in NCAA. It's old, but it works, I feel.

But getting back to the subject of the thread, when you take away options I get that feeling of two steps forward, two steps back.
