See, the last part of what you said is where everyone has to logically call BS, though. It surely IS easier to code one base instead of three...but then they should logically have triple the time to get things done. They're excuse is that they ran out of time, though. Those kinds of contradictions have been mounting since last week.

I think it's because Looman said that "franchise was dead" on Twitter hints that this CC system IS franchise now, along with created superstar and online play.

I think it's a terrible idea to ball everything together.

I totally agree CC is not the problem. The fact that CC is replacing the mode that in my opinion WAS madden is the issue. I have never played superstar....just don't get it, don't like it, but also have never complained about it, b/c my mode was always there to play.

That isn't terrible I suppose, but I liked being able to build a staff from real life coaches. Loved being able to hire a HC, OC, DC, and ST.

What's the deal on cutting players and signing free agents? Am I still free to do that?

Well, I don't know how close I am with this, but Josh worked on HC09 with Donny Moore. He came back to Madden 10 later in the process. There wasn't an upgrade with offline franchise in Madden 11. Madden 12, there were some features added to franchise mode, while him and his staff were in the process of developing CC while 12 was being manufactured. He said he's been thinking of CC for the last 4 yrs and it was approved a few years ago.

That could be it, but I'm not privy to any of the above, just speculation.

I don't really follow other collections or sports games as in depth as I do Madden so maybe this is just the way it is in the video game dev world, but it seems to me like there's been a lot of turnover in the development crew with this game, so the easy answer (to me anyway) could be that the teams prior to the current one just didn't have the focus or vision that there appears to be now.
