They should not have released this game this year kept working on it til it was ready. if that was really their legit exuse.

I have never ever known another gaming company to say 'we didn't have time maybe later" They should just be honest and say it's not coming back $$$ is all that's on their mind which is why they have a standardized answer

With all do respect, how in the hell does anyone have time to play 16 games a week for 17 weeks? Seriously I mean where does the time come from? How many seasons could you play and why would you want to play every game? It's amazing to me! I am not calling people out but to me, that is just flat out nuts.

@Strawhat have any of those had a franchise mode as stale as madden's? have any of those completely rebuilt their franchise, superstar, and online modes? i don't like them taking the features and haven't decided if im gonna get it yet, but i understand their logic of getting a working mode into the game with features that work for offline and online before adding ones specific to either.

the foundation is now there to add those features back and even add new ones easier than before. its easier and more efficient to keep up one code base than three.

I had to think back to OOTP between 6 and 7 when Markus did the grand redesign that brought the foundation of what OOTP is now.

The UI and everything got totally jacked around, and it was a great adjustment period, but no, there was no loss of features.

Now, granted, he's the only one who ever touched his code (that's the real problem with EA - they can't just leave one person in charge who knows the code, so it gets jacked around to whoever is doing it. I bet if there's another teams after Looman and co. moves on - it probably will be another "redesign"), so it's not a direct correlation, but nothing was lost from OOTP6 to 7.

I can't think of any other sports game that's had a massive redesign that I played enough to really make an intelligent observation on. Most sports games seem to try to stay constant off a good base. Baseball Pro, Football Pro - they stayed largely stable.

Assuming that MMORPG is not the way the game is going towards, I do think stability will help in the long run.

You don't HAVE to play 16 games a week you might wanna play 4 games a week the point is the option was there since madden 1994 now its not

now it's oh my same old boring team with the same players and btw out of the 16 games 8 of them will be against division rivals. so you will playing against the same teams 8 times a season now. because we can only be 1 team

I actually play every game on MLB the show

Yeah but so is grown men wearing replicas of other grown men's uniforms, neglecting responsibilities just to catch "the game" and posting on the internet about a video game.
