Guys like d.rose are so fast that you can't really stay in front us. So by "riding" him takes away some of his quickness. I just really want to see strength and quickness play a part in isomotion and on ball d.
LeBron's strength isn't really a factor on the perimeter. He gets past people for two reasons (which apply to everyone):

1. Attempting to cut off a ballhandler in one direction (i.e., bumping him on an attempted drive) is dangerous because he can easily change direction, and now he has an angle on you and you're out of position, and

2. It's not worth it to attempt to body up a ballhandler and possibly be called for a foul

Even the best defenders usually don't try to stay perfectly in front of a ballhandler-- that's how you get crossed. They just try to make the ballhandler take the angle that the defender wants them to take.

EDIT
Here's a great example:

Tim Duncan is perfectly squared up with CP3 when Paul gets past the first defender. Duncan may be old, but he's still a professional athlete and has a distinct size advantage on Paul. If Duncan wanted to, I bet you he could have made an attempt to slide his feet and stay in front of Paul. Instead, he turns his hips and simply allows Paul to take an angle that still allows Duncan to contest.

Obviously, as you can see, using this defensive strategy properly doesn't always result in success, but it's still there and it's what NBA players do. They don't try to bully players on the perimeter, even when there's an opportunity to do so.

Strength is very important in driving and finishing.I don't want to get into a argument, But you can defiantly get past a defender just by lowering your shoulders and attacking their hip. They need to bring shading back and make it work. I didn't say body up I said "ride" that's two different things. I also asked Mike if they fix the momentum but he never answered. That example cp3 is lower than Tim duncan and has a quickness advantage. Again being low gives you an advantage. Some times.

LeBron isn't bulldozing people at the three-point line-- that's my point. Once he gets close to/in the paint, then his strength becomes a factor. But he's definitely not trucking people to get to the basket from 25 feet away.

Look at how lebron uses his strength, quickness and length the affect his opponents shots.

My point is I'm not saying he is bulldozing, "riding" riding is not the same as bodying the ball handler this thread has already been through the whole argument. So this is just an example that I hope one day 2k can replicate. Again I what I'm saying is not the same-thing you are saying.

You said that LeBron uses his strength to get to the basket as a ballhandler...

And I also said strength should play a part in getting to the rim. So that's why I used that video.

But that's also not true to an extent...

Watch this:

Notice how Blake Griffin puts his body on Monta Ellis, but GRIFFIN is the one who ends up going backwards. It's basic physics. The momentum is with the ballhandler-- he's moving forward, and the defender is either retreating or moving sideways. Thus, the ballhandler (Ellis) exerts greater force, allowing him to move someone much bigger and stronger than he is (Griffin).

Blake Griffin rode monta ellis. Notice how he stopped Monta and made him pick up his dribble, because of his strength. I said it should play a part not that every stronger player can defend a quicker or light player. Because that's not true. Tony parker can push LEbron back in 2k, that should never happen. The reason why Monta was able to push Blake back was because he was LOWER than him.
