Hell, DWade uses a floater/euro 90 percent of the time when he drives to the basket. But he's not doing any up and unders.
I agree I even put that in the wishlist to have more floaters for PG's instead of all those up and under/ flick moves in the paint. Most pg's are not using flick, flick moves or up and under once they get in the paint. They are shooting some type of high layup, floater, spinning layup floater.

hmmm u clearly dont know that and up and under is it and when it is being pulled off so or how often it should happen in 2k to simulate that real thing

question if am in the post lets say am tim duncan and i drop step to the basket hard left put the ball above my head in a shooting motion wait for the dfender to bite and then bring the ball down as he reacts and back up....is that an up and under? garnet does it a lot and dirk and they r bigs...
is this not a tony parker up and under?

let u just add i am a semi pro basketball player and coach in my off season and basketball is what my family grows up playing.....when i talk basketball i know what am talking about

nba 2k12 was not short of up and under moves just wasnt really well balanced but to try and limit the AI to 2=3 of em is ridiculous but i will add it was a thing of beauty to see dirk do it from the post or the up and under in general from the post.
what 2k12 needs to do is just give the defense better tools to defend it to create a better sense of balance....while i do admit in the E3 video we see it looks great to see AI parker try to pull one off to get it blocked by Ibaka who never left his feet ....am just waiting in anticipation to see more come august in Germany

Don't do that. No, seriously, don't do that. I'm talking about the frequency of which they do the moves. Tony Parker and Rondo are both ultilizing some type of floater once they get into the lane. Hell, that's practically the only Derrick Rose does once he gets into the paint because he contorts his body so much.

Tony:

Rondo:

Look at how Rondo uses his body to shield his defender away from the ball. THAT's what I'm talking about. Also, he MISSED about 8-9 floaters that game.

Don't question my basketball knowledge. I AM A GUARD. You're not going to make a lot of shots unless you learn how to shield the ball with your body, learn how to shoot with a hand in your face, or develop some type of floater once you get into the paint.

MORE EXAMPLES:

You see more guards use floaters than up and unders. FACT. Watch D-Wade and Rondo tonight. Count how many times they do a floater once they get into a lane.

Kolanji,

The problem was too many PG's were doing this like this was a go to move across the board. That in itself was bad but then they made it worse by sometimes you would not get contact with the CPU if you didn't jump. The CPU had this ability to go to those type of shots that didn't draw contact. I wouldn't say this is Parker's go to move would you? What about Ramon Sessions? It was happening across the board.

am thinking most ppl just know this as an up and under

or this

and this

up and unders are all over the nba game we r just accustomed to think that it has to score or only happens mid air....its just simply put a show like layup attempt to get defender to react/jump and either try to elude or create contact whether it be form the post position in mid air or step in to up and going under

Yeah Beluba says they are working on having more contact so I will not beat this dead horse but if I have the ability to body up the defender and not bite on the fake then he can up the tendency because it will not work if you are disciplined on defense. In 2K12 the up and under tendency was too high for the CPU AI Pg's and the fact that you couldn't swat some of it or get consistent contact led to easy points for the CPU.
