Out of curiosity, DCebb, how updated is the content on the site? Has your focus been on rookies, players changing teams, and other players needing to be added to your database, or has every player with ratings on the site been given a once-over, ok'd by you, and updated on the live website?

Just curious because I know it's been a bit of a rolling process for you getting this back in full swing (don't take that as a criticism or anything, just an observation on my part).

In-game performance is always up for debate. When I first started, I wanted to see what using real data would do in the game. It worked out far better than I anticipated, so I used these techniques to rate the players. Had this not been discovered or realized (in my own humble opinion) I would have rated all of these players EXACTLY how EA does it. So LBs would have speed in the 90s for runnin 4.5s and WRs would have SPD attributes in the low 80s for only running a 4.45. Just seemed whack to me.

I do endorse you trying it out in-game and giving us a report. Your findings would be beneficial to the project.

All of the content is current as of today in regards to:

1. Player profiles (hts/wts/colleges/DOB/attributes
2. Roster lists


Still to come are:
1. Accurate depth charts
2. Updated OVR ratings (the OVR ratings are from July 2011)
3. Updated attributes after training camps
4. Rookie attributes and ratings
5. Updated player profile pics


My focus has been on EVERYTHING. As you can see I got rid of some of the useless information left over by the previous establishment and basically started over. If you go to a player profile and see the OVR date and Attribute date you can see the last time that player was completely looked over. For all 18k+ players, that date is TODAY. Every player has thus been looked over, been updated to have the attributes match the overall, and had as much info added as possible. Thanks for the interest!

Is it possible for someone to download these on a flashdrive? I don't really want to spend 2 weeks updated each player.

As long as a roster file is not being re-distributed for cost, I would have no problem with that for the moment. However, I am looking into options for Madden 13 to have roster files available for download from the website.

Great job Dcebb!! I know it's a lot of work! One thing I hope for is that Donnie Moore didn't rescale the overall system!!
