This might have been stated already but if switch to user catch on my db (which I do a lot) if his head isn't already turned but I see the ball will he play the ball properly or have a late reaction and get Mossed?

See here are the questions we should be asking instead of getting all googled eyed on what we see. What event happens that will cause my DB to turn his head to defend the football and allow me to defend it because he has turned? For instance on the Roy Williams vs Charles Woodson. What events happen there that would allow Woodson to be in position so that I can defend that pass properly, rather than it getting complete a great deal of the time? From the looks of it, Woodson had inside position. So Cutler just threw the pass outside and Williams got it. But is there anything I can do with Woodson that would have allowed me to defend that pass?

Also, so now with shading CB's will they actually play outside or inside? How does the shading work this year. Is it the same?

The Madden cheeser may finally have to learn how to play real football this year.

I saw some sliding. That will never change with the current console generation. They will have to start from scratch on a new platform. I'm not giving EA any passes on this. They should have recognized this right away and fixed/removed the software they were using to build this game.

Pre-game looks good, hopefully there is a lot more to it than what we have seen. Still see mirrored WR/DB actions. That's not good. As far as physics go, I'm not seeing much of what could be physics. There were glimpses, but that could just be some better transitional animations.

The graphics look great, but the most of the player models are too muscular. They really need to town that done some. It makes the game less desirable for true sim heads. As far as gameplay goes, that will be the number one deciding factor for all real ballers.

Waiting for the demo to drop, then I will put up a youtube video on my channel.

the camera flashes are ridiculous - there are not even that many flashes at the super bowl!

Even though it does look like he's looking at the QB
He's a strong safety, he's likely in a 'hook zone (yellow)', no reason for him to back-pedal like a CORNERBACK would. So he can sit on routes because he's LIKELY in a shallow zone and not in a position where he has to turn and run, he can look into the back-field.

Presentation is one aspect of the game, can't really judge gameplay until the product is released.

Shopmaster mentioned this.

"All is not lost if your receiver isn’t looking for the ball and you want to throw to him though. You can still throw to that receiver whose icon is still “ghosted”, but you will have to switch over and user catch it yourself. This is also true for the defense." http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ay-review.html

Also this was stated in the EA game play playbook blog

"The new Read and React Defensive AI System ties directly into what I talked above with the receiver not being able to play catches unless they see the ball, so it works for both sides of the ball. This change will affect both the offense and defense in different ways, but nobody will be able to catch or swat unless they see the ball first. However, if the user has manually taken control and attempts to make a play on the ball, they will still have a shot at success." http://www.easports.com/madden-nfl/n...fl-13-gameplay
