Just tried starting a quick game using the Simulation Roster in the roster section but the game never loads and always redirects me back to the home page.

Re: NBA 2K12 Patch 1.04 Available Now - Post Impressions Here (PS3, 360)

Here are my impressions:
Blocks are alot better they fell alot better they seem more organic and its more realistic IE. Tyson Chandler blocking with hand vs Elbow
I use my rosters (see my sig) and the flow is better and it feels better
Defense feels better Allows me to move around better
3rd Quarter AI (which wasn't much a issue imo) was better its not as scripted

I really dint have that many issues with the game as some others on OS were having....I really like this game its LEAPS AND BOUNDS better then NBA 2k11 to me.

Great Job 2K

I'm starting to feel the same way. The thing I hate most in sports games is lack of control. I don't mind canimations if they fit the situation and make for realistic scenarios, but I draw the line at suction and warping, and that is exactly what's happening all over the floor in this game.

When 2K mentioned a better collision animation system and ball liveliness, I was expecting a totally dynamic game from end to end. Instead, I get a game where everything is engineered in a particular way to achieve a desired effect. That's why this game isn't fun to me.

I'm going to try that.

EDIT: I think you're on to something here. I tried this, and things definitely felt like the patch "reset" itself. I'm guessing the roster updates are to blame for the changes after all.

Ball warping is in every sports game. That is not a reason to call the game average when every sports game has the same issue

Interesting stuff. I was impressed (more like relieved) post-patch too but then the 2nd time I played the game a few days later, I was thoroughly frustrated again (bad controls, poor responsiveness, canimation hell).

Is it really possible that the patch effectiveness is lost after the roster update, or actually needs re-setting?

It's been a rough year for NBA 2K. What a fall from grace.
