Re: ESPN MLB 12: The Show' hands-on preview

this still didn't cure diabetes, as I probably developed it sitting in front of my TV for days at a time playing this game. I love the info coming out, ball physics, umpires, tag system, tv presentation, RTTS upgrades and people still complain 3 1/2 months out that it's same old same old and can't wait for full disclosure before condeming the game and the people making it? I almost wish I knew nothing so the forums wouldn't get flooded with the numerous things that haven't been mentioned (yet). some people should probably assume an article from espn is trying to appeal to a large audience and mentioning generated counts and fixing a sign in a NL isn't gonna bring in readers even if it is an important detail to some. thanks for the article though, is it march yet?

Oh yeah, I got you. I just quoted your post 'cause I loved the pic. And I did want to make sure that the people I quoted first knew I wasn't trying to jump down their throats. We can all be friends.

Does this mean outfielders can now collide while pursuing fly balls and potentially get hurt? That'd be a nice thing to see!

An even cooler thing with collision awareness: Two outfielders are pursuing a pop up, they both are aware they are near each other and both shy away at the last second with the ball dropping in for a hit! Now THAT would be neat to see.

The one thing I've really hoped for, for years now is a playoff mode. It would be nice at the end of the year to either place whatever teams you like into the playoffs or, you could follow the mlb and place those teams that are actually in the playoffs. Now I'm hoping that this year this has made it in there. But what they have listed seems amazing.

The pulsating X pitching sounds like it might be similar to PYS pitching, if i'm understanding it correctly.

That is what I got from reading that...I also imagine that fielders may let balls drop between them to avoid collisions.

Hoping there's a "call off" feature like MLB 2K6 introduced to avoid these collisions.
