I always change auto switching from ON to Only Balls in the Air. It allows me to decide when to change my defender when they are passing the ball around me but still allows the game to give me the main defender during the cross. I feel as if it gives me more control of the game.

I'm still happy with the gameplay after several more games today. Someone mentioned the max Payne physics earlier. Right after I read that my striker was taken out by a defender and the rag doll physics were crazy. Limbs everywhere all contorted and everything. Hope they tone this down a bit.

Has anyone seen any injuries as a result of these collisions? Are they turned off in the demo?

I have seen one (yesterday).

The physics engine is pretty quirky though. It can look pretty good sometimes and then moments later.....just odd and ugly. Hopefully, they worked out some kinks with the retail copy.

This demo is growing on me each time I play it. I am just not that good.

Nice. I didn't know if injuries were in the demo.

The physics engine is the definition of inconsistent in the demo. When it works it looks great. Unfortunately there are a lot of over-the-top moments where you're just dumbfounded.

I love the idea of the tactical defending but I don't think they've implemented it well at all. As unrealistic as the prior FIFA's were with regards to pressure it seems as if they completely tuned it the other way. The key to playing good defense in FIFA is finding the medium of pressure/contain. In order for this happen you need your CPU teammates to help you out. Right now on the demo w/o sliders you're left to defend on an island. I love the tackle system but I need my CPU teammates to put themselves in better positions.

Right, getting absolutely no help from your teammates is frustrating. Not to mention it makes playing a counter-attacking style of football useless. It's nearly impossible to steal the ball in the middle third of the field.

Sliders might be able to fix this, but they shouldn't have to.

Beautiful game, fantastic presentation, can't defend at all = not realistic soccer.
