I hope all players of a certain height and up can dunk the ball, makes no sense to have a 7' guy that can't dunk the ball, or 6'5 for that matter.

His shot is actually quite easy to use, luckily his shot is very similar to Bobby Simmons who used to be on the Nets so I was a beast with Morrow from the start.

So I was thinking about the endorsements and you would think that one of them would be your own 2k game cover.

Kinda wish that instead of completely taking out combine, summer league, and training camp (or is camp still in?) they allowed us the option to just simulate or skip them.

I think Summer League is the only one that is in, in 2k11 they took out Training Camp.

I don't mind loser caps that's not unrealistic. Who would have thought Jason Kidd would become a elite 3point shooter? The problem is a can pick an athletic player(because they start you higher with the most expensive attributes) than just practice shooting and become the best defender, rebounder, and passer. There's no penalty for being raw talent and there's no advantage to being a specialist. I want skills to trump talent and I want to have to actually practice that skill to get better at it.

I'm officially challenging 2K to eliminate skill points next year. This game should be about practice and experience. Once again in they want to give skill points in the offseason that cool, but the season should force your MP to practice to improve his skill not give out ambiguous points.
Wow thats some great thoughts there dathrone, it makes perfect sense too especially if my player is going to succeed online. Basketball isn't about having five clones on the court itrs about positions and skills. Reggie Miller style player is all about clutch threes and sniping from all over the court and a Lebron style player all about attacking the basket and finishing strong. At the end of the game, who's getting the ball. All Lebron jokes aside, it really depends on the matchups. Maybe a undersized shooting guard is guarding Reggie. Maybe it's the teams bigger small forward. Maybe it's the teams Shane Battier who lives for defence. We should be able to specialise and be an asset to a team and it's plan. A pro baller once said the best way to get to the Nba is be a specialist, be exceptionally good at a few things. Would I give up strength in the post and rebounding to be able to shoot like reggie miller, yeah I would if I wanted my player to be that for sure. Now does that mean my reggie miller can't get good at rebounding? No but it should take me longer to get good at. Jason kidd could pass and rebound but he spent months in the gym learning how to shoot again. If we choose a specialist role, we get double improvements from related drills but other opposite skills take longer to do. Idk but the idea of wining a game with a great play because you were the best player for the job sounds better than taking it in turns to do what anyone else can. A big block, a dagger three, a lock down on the three point shooter, a last minute steal, isn't that why superstars are super?

Can we boo Stern? Talk about realism!
