I think that you will find that the ratings will work quite well in the game.

Hey, loving all the work and how quickly you've been keeping up with all the changes. I've punched these preliminary ratings for a few teams and they seem to work really well.

I had a question about how awareness is graded. Is it based on the player's overall grasp of their position? Or maybe just their football intelligence? In any event, I was wondering if you could share how this is scouted and turned into a rating. Thanks!

AWR is graded several ways. Think of it as their field savvy. Can that DB be counted on in the open field to recognize a playaction? Can a LB focus on where the RB is going to make his cut? How well does the QB read the defense? Can a RB pick out the cutback lane in a zone block? How well does a WR learn his routes? How cool under duress is your punter? How clutch is your kicker? All of these are examples for factors that go into the AWR rating.
