NCAA Football 12 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I just purchased a PS3 and still have my 360 packed up. NCAA Football 11 looked really nice last year when I had it on 360. So Im alittle confused how NCAA 12 on PS3 looks like Madden 2005 on PS2 with the field looking like Madden 1999 on PS1.

I think they just did this to let us always have the ball first. They always pick kick for me. Im 100% sure this will be back to normal in the retail version.

sure feels good to see big plays not ruined by suction tackles, I haven't played NCCA since 09 so this feels like a huge jump to me. very happy with what I am seeing

On AA I've seen some nice scrambles by CPU QB.. So that's a plus
Anyways my thoughts:
After a few games I am pleasantly surprised. Just the removal (or drastically reduced) suction makes a HUGE difference, period. It really does make the game play a ton better.

The CPU was getting great pressure and man taking a year off from video game football = I suck lol

Overall the game is playing very nicely and so I am really interested in seeing what the retail holds. Just don't see where anyone who's played video game football for a long time would have a reason not to play the game. Yes it's not perfect but if other games took the level of critisizm that sports games do the world world implode.

The main negative I have is the DB play. Many times they still run routes before and better than the WR. On one instance the WR started breaking down (for about a 10 yard in route) and right then the DB did the in route and was (I swear) 5 yards ahead of the WR. It looked really bad.
That's about all the really stood out as far as a main negative. I can live with everything though and just hope the DB "route running" is toned down.

after 2 PS3 games some quick thoughts.

Cons: graphics are ugly, I hate the transition from regular view to replays, the grass just sticks out too much.

Pros: some new animations are awesome, and u can really feel some of the hits. I love this.

Running game seems fluid and fun.

Passing game seems fun, but CPU does get quick pressure which I like.
First game I threw 2 picks on bad reads, I love it. I also had a drop pass on a deep bomb, nice touch.

2nd game I gave up a long run, but then I returned a fumble for 6 and won the game 10-7.

CPU missed a long field goal, nice.

I had a incompletion overturned based on replay, really nice.


Overall: Even though the graphics are not sharp the gameplay feels improved, or maybe the controls feel tighter.

One other complaint is the blocky text under the players is to big and bold and the play diagrams showing on the field need to be more transparent.

Could be a good year for NCAA.
