Re: Phil Frazier is Leaving EA Sports Tiburon

I think they added it in 10. The community day they have is all work. I call it free labor for SCEA. They make those guys work. It is crazy all they do for that game. Knight and the gang are very busy! EA would be smart to do something like that. Having Phil and Ian leave is lame though. They had some good vision for that game. I trust they will keep going and not miss a beat.

It was beyond out of hand. It got downright personal.

There have been lot's of things that were promised by the devs that either didn't pan out they those things were touted, or this things that were promised were missing all together.

The problem was never the interaction with the devs. The expectations that the interaction created were not met, and without getting into specifics, essentially, people expected change to come from the interaction. The expectation was that those others games wouldn't be worth mentioning anymore. Clearly, since game comparisons quickly ruins threads and thus warrants an infraction, the interaction didn't really change anything. After all the blogs, videos, live chats, podcasts and what not, nothing changed.

Maybe Ian, Phil, and the rest of the team (unknowingly or not) bit off more than they could chew. That was a bad idea, but I would still welcome developer interaction. The developers just need to know that everyone on this forum isn't an adult, so to expect everyone to express themselves in a mature manner isn't practical at all. LOL, what do people this is is, a forum full of people investing in real estate ?

Since when do sales suggest that a game is a good game? With your logic Justin Bieber is a great musician; Avatar is the greatest movie of all time, and Twilight is a good series of books.

Also, what makes you so sure that everyone who is upset Madden actually bought the game. Many people on here chose not buy the game because it wasn't up to their standards. That doesn't mean they forfeit their right to voice their opinions.
You bolded out my Direct! I'm all for it, in the proper scenario and with professional distance applied. I like the intern idea. Then a drop in by the actual responsible developer for the specific wishlist and saying "we've got it." That's the least problematic way, IMO. Then a follow-up vid saying "this is what we did" would be cool, too. Then we are heard, there are less modding problems and the temptation to get too big for your britches and getting the "BanHammer" is negated. That's all I'm sayin'.... Personal space..... Stay back! LOL!

I was raised to respect people. So I never slam on people or devs for that matter. But just like anything I am sure they are used to it. It seem like it comes with the job.

twitter is the next phase of interaction....i spend time reading their tweets & tweet responses to get my info much more than hoping to see anything OS might have

and twitter allows you to block the clowns...very nice way to interact with the consumer base

People were literally threatening physical harm to the devs in some cases. It was sad.
