If these Franchise features work as advertised, and they hit a sweet spot with gameplay and presentation. EA will see all the customers they lost come back in droves.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Blog - Franchise Mode in Madden 12

Sounds like great news to me. Should I not be impressed by the demo (the gameplay), I'd be very tempted to buy Madden as long as the sim engine is reasonable.

One question though. I like the dynamic gameplans, but I couldn't decipher if they only worked for entire games or partial games. From the blog we know that the CPU will have a different gameplan if, say, Peyton Manning is injured, but what if he's injured in the 2nd quarter of a game? Will the CPU then change their gameplan during the game or wait with adjustments until the next game (if he's injured multiple games)?

No playable training camp drills like Madden 04 & 05, hell even Madden 96!!!!. Thats the main Franchise feature I wanted. I guess I will not be buying this game this year either, maybe next year, at least the are improving Franchise mode though.

They also have tons of stuff that's never been in Madden before. Open your mind a little bit...

Only thing I am dissapointed with is progression. Just too basic.
If a RB gets 1500yards on 300 carries with the Jets o-line blocking thats good. With the Bears o-line blocking that's amazing.
Derek Anderson lit it up a few years ago but that was mainly thanks to a great running game, pass blocking and great receivers. You have consider all the factors behind the stats.
As a PAL user I hope we can edit created draft classes and not just imported ones but I doubt it.
With that negativity out of the way well done Josh and all the Madden team. Glad you finally got the resources your hard work and talent deserves.

The only thing about importing from NCAA is that so many players end up having high ratings. How will the game decide which players are 80-87 and 60-67 if they're all rated 90+ going in?
