Both MLB 2K7 and MLB 09 had to, and in the case of 09, if you did the update and tried your current franchise, it would lock it up. Also, some games might not have required a restart to play, but you wouldn't get the update in an already started franchise (has happened with Madden a few times, NBA 2K, etc).

It doesn't happen often, but it's a legit question. It only takes one time getting burned to make it an issue for people...no one wants to invest time into a franchise and find out they'll lose it.

Can somebody please tell me who it is in the roster vault that customizes both MLB and AAA/AA rosters for the show?

I read it here bout a week ago but forgot which thread it was.

Also, is it up to date now?

It is updated to version 4. OSFM Spring Training V4. User name Knight165.

There will be an "opening day" one coming once minor leagues start. So lineups, etc can be set. But you can always do it yourself with the set out now.

Just make sure the username is Knight165, is all.

Or HustlinOwl as he took the roster and stripped it down to 25 so the CPU wouldnt make lineup changes after spring training since there was no need to demote anyone.

what bout if you're not doing a franchise, but you are in a season? Will you have to restart then?
