MLB 11 The Show Video: Gameplay Footage From Community Event

Some good footage there; love to see the Mets.

Knight - I would be for that option, I would prefer to have generated faces with changing caps. I have never once looked at the screen and said "Wow, what a great real photo", but I do constantly say "Ugh, still has the wrong team cap on". Obviously best if it was an option so SCEA can cater to both sides.

I really hope (pray) this is a early build of the game for the following reasons...

1. Stances are the same as last year
2. Jerry Manuel is not the manager of the Mets anymore LOL

Haha well to be fair it did say footage from Community Event...I would have thought most of these things would be fixed by then...guess I was wrong

I am cool, but I am a Giants fan and grew up with Atari 2600 so I am just glad they have a real face and body.

I would be in favor of the in game head shots, they look so real in game now that I think it would look really good. I would get wrapped up in the virtual world more because I wouldnt see any "outside" images. It would all be in game and the player pictures would look exactly like the player model. I hope I am explaining myself correctly, lol.

I remember a basketball game back in the PS1 days that had the in game player faces when they showed stats and stuff. I thought it was cool.

if we had the option for both that would be absolutley awesome!!!

Wow. This game is looking GORGEOUS.

On Corey Hart's double to the gap in right center, the carom off of the wall looks perfect. I know the physics have been tuned and it shows there. Last year it would have bounced too far off the wall.

Is it just me or is the flight of the ball on pitches a lot better? They look to break a lot more realistically now.

The uniform textures look amazing.

The replay of Hardy grounding out to short looks straight off of Sunday Night Baseball. Look at his swing and follow-through. Looks so life like.

The jumbotrons functioning during replays is going to add so much to this game. Such a seemingly minor thing that will really take this to the next level. I'm also glad that now I can check out the gorgeous jumbotrons in each stadium on replays, at my leisure. Couldn't do that last year!!

Finally...unrelated to the game, this video reminded me what a sick lineup the Brewers have. When Prince Fielder is TIED for 4th on the team in RBI's you know you've got a powerhouse lineup.
