Curious, you seem to reflect my dim view of FIFA's offline game modes. Are you familiar with the inability to apply acquired attributes to your Virtual Pro?

I had to delete my game twice now and both times my VP reach a point where I could no save my progress. After viewing my VP, I could no longer back out of that screen and I had to Y out to the 360 main menu.

I may pick-up PES2011 for some offline fun.

Fellas, Im having a hard time downloading the patch. Everytime I try, it stops at about 10% and then it says something like "Operation Failed" or something to that effect. I can't even update rosters if I wanted to because I can't sign online without updating the patch first. Im on PS3, by the way. Anyone know whats causing this or how I fix this?

Did the patch fix any of the tackling issues where the CPU tackles flawlessly?
What about the player growth going negative?

This FIFA11 seems really really buggy...

I may be still drinking the "Fifa" kool-aid, since I just recently traded in World Cup to buy this but the gameplay so far, to me, has been phenomenal. Yeah, the back&forth tackling issue is a little annoying but on World-Class it's made me play smarter and not just press "a" button on defense.

I saw a lot of posts complaining about "hard to score", "hard to create space", etc. This game made me realize that I was basically abusing my sprint button in Fifa 10 & World Cup to "create space" or usually just run towards the goal by constantly running past slower players.

I feel like I'm truly having to work hard to create goal opportunities against equal, or tougher opponents but in a good way. Lots of back passes, changing sides of the field, careful short passes around the 18-line, etc.

As far as CM mode, I'm just diving into that, after playing Football Manager Demo for a few weeks now. I was wondering if there are training options within CM, to help w/player growth? I didn't see any in the CM menu. Also, I noticed some previous posts complaining about player growth. What is directly attached to growing your young players? (Player ratings? Playing time? on-field performance? Again, is their a way to train players? If there is already a thread about this, sorry.

I know I have been spoiled with FM but just curious about what I can do as a manager in CM.

P.S.- I would HIGHLY suggest to anyone that has a PC to download Football Manager Demo (or just buy it) if you enjoy a deep, manager mode and keep FIFA 11 for BAP, online play, FUT, or just enjoy a more simplified manager mode. I get both my fixes this way. Just my .02

No Kool aid thats a really good assessment. Ive hated Fifa up until 11 i even traded in pes for it . Best footy game ive ever played bar none and it all because of the manual controls and how hard it is to create a chance.

I can play on 15/20 minute half's and still have realistic amount of chances.
Love live season cant get past that mode.

I can look past any short comings(and there are some for sure) as i feel the control and the tight game play on the pitch makes up for any of it.

I needed a deep MM fix, so I've reinstalled FIFA 11 for PC with Hybrid's gameplay tool mod. Results are fantastic, and I'm enjoying a struggling CM with Leeds at the moment.

Same here, I'm addicted to Live Season and get the best results with 15 minutes halves on world class.
