FIFA Soccer 11 Patch Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3, 360)

alright jimmy you convinced me to give FIFA another go...

I been so bored lately.. need to pickup a new game. I use to have PES and thought it was good initially but then traded it in when I bought COD mainly because I was not happy with PES Online really. Master League online was good to begin with but then started not to like it. It was good for awhile though I must admit but I'm pretty picky or the footie games seem to wear out of me rather quickly. I had FIFA World Cup before that and it was also good to me at first but I then started to hate it with passion after awhile and considered online nothing but arcade style.

any ways, I'm going to try to rent this or buy this used.. this will be my 3rd footie game I have purchased in less than a year... lol wish me luck

I liked pes but it felt like i wasnt in control sometimes where as with Fifa i feel im in total control on all manual.
Still loving this game and havnt even played one game online.

that's good to hear man... I still haven't picked it up yet but will here shortly.

I played World Cup on full manual before I traded it in and slow game speed..

how does FIFA 11 compare to World CUP in your opinion bc I will be honest.. one of the main reasons I was so hyped up to get PES this year instead of FIFA is because the FIFA 11 demo I played seemed to much of the same of FIFA World Cup and PES seemed like a breath a fresh air at the time.

I will probably play on full manual and normal speed like Matt has suggested to start with.

I skipped World cup so i cant compare and was fed up with 10 real quick and traded it.
I play on all manual and slow and the best endorsement i can give it is that it plays like i would expect the premier league to play if i was a player on the pitch.
Very little time on the ball when it counts, if you miss control it expect to lose possession, having to probe around with passes forwards and back just to gain some ground. Stuff like that.

patch or no patch..everytime I come back this game is as frustrating to me as it gets..I play only vs CPU..teammates AI stupid..foul calling inconsistent..annoying substitution cinematics..repetetive cutscenes..poor replays..esh

however i am trying to edit it, hoping for some miracle, its just defensively this game gets me annoyed

Sadly this is my experience as a single player gamer as well. I usually throw it on every week or so hoping for a better experience but it only takes about half an hour for me to become frustrated. The game engine is beautiful, I love the ball physics and it looks great but the CPU just feels really one dimensional and every opponent feels exactly the same to play against. Not to mention that the manager mode is really, really dry.

I'm sure its a blast in multiplayer against an opponent who loves football though.

I agree. I wish when the Ultimate Team or Roster Updates are released, they could release a gameplay patch, as well.
